Occupation: Theoretical Physicist at California Institute of Technology
Characteristics: James is a tall and slender, yet well-built man with moderate muscle mass; originally in his late twenties, but he's in his late thirties by series end. He is 6' 4" (1.93 m) with blond hair and blue eyes. His wardrobe consists of vintage long-sleeve button-up shirts, vintage coats, leather jackets, and graphic T-shirts adorned with references to different musical artists and bands. James often expresses his mood through his choice of attire. He also owns a burgundy suit which he wears over a black dress shirt and black tie for lecturing and other formal occasions.
Love Interest: Dr. Charlotte Palmer, a British experimental physicist who transferred to California Institute of Technology during Season 3.
