A freak power surge sends the entire apartment-Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Bernadette, and Amy-back to the year 1895. The novel is a grand adventure where they have to survive the Victorian era without Wi-Fi or modern sanitation. They must use their collective scientific knowledge to recreate 21st-century technology from scratch, all while avoiding altering the timeline so drastically that they erase their own existence.
