"Why don't you take off your jacket and roll up your sleeve for me" he instructed as he got up from his seat and walked over my way. I did as I was told while he went to put on a set of gloves. Right as he turned around my way,  I could feel my heart sink through the floor, seeing him hold a huge needle, which could only mean one thing.

I hadn't even noticed my leg bouncing up and down as the man squatted down in front of me. "Okay, now relax, I'm only going to draw some blood" he tried in a calm tone. "I am relaxed" I mumbled through my teeth, clenching my jaw while I firmly held onto the chair. He paused a in moment of uncertainty as he switched looks between me and Nat. "Just do it" I growled out as the suspense was probably worse than the needle itself. He bend over my way and let the cold syringe enter my vein. I turned my head away from the sight while squeezing my eyes shut tight. I heard a chuckle behind me but tried to not let it bother me that much, instead I'd focus on my heart beat and count the seconds until this awful feeling was gone. Don't get me wrong, shots don't hurt, needles just scare the shit out of me, especially with my bad track record against them.

"That is all" he dragged out. I let the breath escape I was holding it this entire time. I opened my eyes again and saw a small band aid on the inside of my elbow. I pressed it slightly to try and rub away the sensation of the needle going in, before returning my attention back to the doctor.

He carried a couple vials filled with my red blood over to his desk and popped them inside a machine. "Alright, we'll know more in a minute" he said before sitting down across from me again.

The room fell quiet as we waited, before my sister decided to turn to me and finally say what had been brooding in her head for some time now. "Alex, look at me" she started carefully. "Maybe it's a good idea to let Wanda try and help. She promised she wouldn't touch anything besides what we are looking for, okay?" she said hopefully.

I gave her a look like she had gone mad. "Are you kidding me" I raised my voice her way. "Why don't we let her roam through your head and see how you like it" I snapped back. She tried her best to hide her emotions, especially after I knew I had struck a nerve, "Alex. She found something last time and I'm sure-" she began but I didn't let her finish.

"No!" I cut her off as I got up from my chair. "I don't want her in my head" I pointed angrily at the witch who seemed very uncomfortable being the topic of our dispute.

Now it was Natasha's turn to stand up and forcefully place me back in my chair. "Don't be such a child" she growled to my face. "Wanda is the best bet we have at finding whatever is wrong with you, and she is going to help you whether you like it or not, so I'd rather have you on board" she said as she trapped my face between her hands, making sure I couldn't look away from her and heard every word she said.

I clenched my jaw but knew I couldn't win this argument from her so I gave up and lifted my hands into the air. "Fine, have it your way" I said defeated as I shuffled back against the seat and crossed my arms in defiance.

"That wasn't so hard now, was it" Nat said very pleased with herself as she too sat back down. Only now I noticed the other two people who had been present but certainly didn't want to be.

"Ahem" Bruce coughed slightly to cut the tension and bring all eyes back his way. "So, I have gotten some results back from your blood test. They are incredible to say the least" he exclaimed in awe. "Your numbers are off the charts and I thought I recognized a pattern so I pulled up some old test we ran back in the day when Steve was pulled out of the ice" he excitedly began to tell.

"Here you see they are pretty similar, yet fundamentally they are very different" he said as I looked at a little screen that showed graphs and numbers I did not understand for one bit. I furrowed my brows as I gave Nat a quick look, who seemed about just as lost as me. "So, what you are saying..." she mumbled as she took the tablet in her hands, inspecting it even closer before looking over the edge my way.
