CHAPTER 3

N's pov

I noticed it was getting darker......so it won't be possible to get to the village...

We will have to take shelter somewhere and i knew the right place....

Since am everywhere I have little cottages....villager build for me just in case I come to visit their village

And there's one very close to me right now.... without waking kiel up

Hey KIEL....has a nice ring to it doesn't it...

I quickly hurried as I ran faster knowing that the forest is very dangerous at night...... It isn't dangerous for me.

Instead it's my safe haven....the only place I find peace....but for kiel..it isn't safe at alll

I can protect myself alone but when he's there it's hard not to worry......

I chuckled at how I sound like a mother....

We finally reached the cottage before night covered.....

The moment I entered I turned of the lights...so i could see

And to say i was shocked was an understatement......it was so beautiful and Peaceful

It looked like a comfy home..... It had little staircase leading to the rooms

I have never been here before....I was just told it was here

I went up the stairs and saw two doors....I opened one and saw a small kitchen that was neatly organized and arranged

Then I closed the door...with kiel still in my arms... I opened the door and saw a medium sized room...

It was really pretty and clean.....it was different from other places I stayed......

The villagers really went out of their way to make this place look like this....it's so nice

After I finished admiring the cottage....I put kiel down on the bed....I noticed a slight shiver from him

I took the comforter and covered his body....I don't know what pulled me to him but I gave him a soft kiss on his forehead.....

It shook me as he vibrated probably feeling the heat

I don't know why but I have this motherly feeling towards him...like he's my son...but I know he isn't...

I don't have a son....I said with pain in my voice

I got up from the bed and left the room...but not before giving him one last look....

I walked over to the sitting room and saw a fridge there....I opened it and noticed there wasn't any food there.....

I had to go get some....but how was I going to leave kiel all but himself.....

I just told myself that I will hurry since the market area is close......

UHHHH!!!.....

SHITT!!

I was so wet because of the rain outside....I didn't even know when it started but because I had to go back for Ezekiel

I went under the rain... without my cloak....I usually go with it,but because I used it to wrap kiel I didn't take it with me.....just my mask

Luckily the villagers noticed me and gave me what I needed though I insisted to pay.....they didn't let me saying me being nearby is more than enough....

I knew no amount of argument would help so I let it be.... This time...

I quickly got to the kitchen and started to prepare the food....it reminded of the times I,my mum and my brother will cook and joke in the kitchen

Waiting for dad to come.....then, when he does he joins

I can't believe I fell for all his acts... thinking he actually loved me like his....

Now because of me....mum and Jacob are no more....I say gripping the edge of the sink tightly

I had never been born maybe they would have been alive.... enjoying their lives and just maybe..... Williams (step dad) won't have had to kill his wife and son

It's all my fault.....I thought bitterly

I turned around to see Ezekiel by the door rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand... looking so adorable

Wait....what am I saying

He calmly walked to me and wrapped his arms around my waist then looked at me with his big round eyes

How was your sleep.....I asked softly

It was okay...was just really hungry....he muttered the last part but I still heard it

How about you go sit in the living room while I make you dinner okay.....

He eyes lit up and he nodded and left....

I smiled...and continued to make his dinner and mine too

DONE!!!

finally...I took the two plates to the sitting room and kept it on the little table for him.....he looked at it with hunger in his eyes

I laughed telling him to eat up.....

Without wasting time he started eating....I watched the way he ate like he was starved for weeks...

Just thinking about that made me sick to my stomach....

I was so deep in thoughts I didn't notice kiel calling me.....

I looked at him and smiled....and he asked me question

Why aren't u eating....he asked innocently

I will dear don't worry... I replied touched that even as hungry as he was....he still wanted me too eat too

Why won't you take of your mask aren't you uncomfortable...... He asked looking at me

I had a feeling I will have too so I did......I took of my mask and he saw me.....and
