Chapter 6

I never thought saying goodbye could be this hard

I will miss you I held her hand walking with her, I called a cab and no rides is passing by to our townhouse so I have to walk and cross the short bridge

I will miss you too, but you will visit me, right? She said and squeezed my hand leaning her head on my shoulder. I kissed the top of her head

Of course! Every weekend, and on weekdays I will call you I told her

I will wait for you she said to me

I never thought that my two weeks will be like this I said to her she looked at me and smile

Me too she said and kissed me on my cheek

Then she stops walking.

Why? I asked her and she gulped

Come on, the taxi is waiting across the bridge told her

I can't she mumbled almost whisper

I frowned

What do you mean you can't? What are you saying? I asked her

I can't cross the bridge she said

You are afraid of height? Baby, it will be fine the bridge is the strong look I said to her and run to the bridge jumping

See? It didn't move, let's go I smiled at her motioning her to walk toward me

But her eyes start to get water and cry

I run to her and held her face

Baby, why are you crying? Are you afraid of heights? Please don't cry I am sorry I said and wiped the tears on her cheek but she cried more

I am sorry baby, please don't cry. I'm sorry shhh I am here you don't have to be afraid I am here I told her and hug her

She didn't move after seconds I look at her and break the hug she is not looking at me instead she is looking at the lake

I followed her gaze

And saw something, a car drowning

I run to the bridge and held my phone to call for help

Baby---- I faced Jisoo to ask her to call someone but she is gone

Jisoo?! Baby!! Where are you?! I yelled when I heard a honk from the taxi across the bridge

Fuck! I mumbled, the taxi is here but Jisoo is gone. What to do? I run to the taxi

Sir, I am so sorry but something came up. Good thing you are here there is a car drowning ---- I said to the driver but when I pointed to the lake the car I saw earlier is gone

I run to the bridge and look at the lake if the car already drowned but I can't see any car the water is clear

Kid, are you coming or not? The taxi driver asked
