April 21st 1986

"Eden I swear if you don't get up so help me god" Tina stands beside Eden's bed ripping the blanket off. It's barely 6 am, Eden sits up and watches her mother glare at her until she gets up off the bed. " mom I don't understand why I even have to go back , it's not my fault the last school lost my transcripts. " Tina turns around with her hand on the door frame " Eden we have had this conversation too many times you will graduate you just need to finish out this semester, hunny I get it it's not the most ideal thing being 19 and in high school but things happen okay so just get up I have to get your brother up so you can drive him to school too " she leaves.

EDEN POV

Ugh why is it my problem to take that asshole, he can bike he's a football player for Christ sake. Whatever but he better keep his mouth shut if I smoke in the car, last time that fuck head ratted me out and they took my car, not like I go anywhere any ways what's the point of making friends when all we do is move , oh the joys of being a military brat. Eden walks out of her room down the hall to the bathroom to brush her teeth and fix her hair it's long almost to her waist , she likes it long it covers her body in her mind it's like a shield. She does her signature style a few braids and pins it so the tip of her ears stick out , does basic make up not really caring , she's already so pale so she just keeps it basic. As she's walking back to her room he not so little brother pushes past her, "ugh why the fuck do you take so long other people need to get ready too! " he exclaimed. She just rolls her eyes at him " you know maybe if you actually got up on time it wouldn't be a problem Alex " as she turns back around flipping him off she bumps into her father, "oops sorry hunny also why are the two of you yelling this early?" Bill looks at his two children with wide eyes waiting for an answer. " well she's taking too fucking long dad I need to look good unlike the freak here " Alex almost yelling Eden sighs looking annoyed at the wall. " Alexander what have I fucking said about that language in MY god damn house!" Her father now screaming "dad it's fine we're sorry" Eden looks up at her father trying to de-escalate the situation, until Tina comes in " hunny dear you need to get to the post soon right I have all of your stuff packed" Tina looks at her husband and children with worry. She knows her husband had a temper, he says it's from all the times her had to deploy. But in reality he's always been like this, just no one can see it from the outside.

"Hey uhm so can you like not be weird at this school?" Alex asks as Eden drives with a cigarette in one hand and the other on the wheel. " what you mean weird? I'm just myself sorry I don't wanna fit in with what society says I have to look and be like" Alex sighs "see that's what I'm talking about dude like look at you long black hair , boots , fuck ton of rings and shit in your nose , like why can you just be normal for once!?"
"Sorry I don't looks like Malibu Barbie asshole" Eden scarfs " look I'm not trying to be mean but these people are just going to bully you too like look at this place we're in the middle of nowhere Eden , like I get it you don't like sports or anything hip or cool but like come on " Eden pulls up to the school slowing down looking for a place to park, it's a strange town like not even a month and a half there was a huge earthquake and some murders here or some shit, maybe it's like Eden's books she reads it has a darker feel to it , like a shift in the wind no one in town wants to talk about what happened but one things for sure Eden doesn't wanna stay she wants to go back to Seattle it's cold and gloomy there , she thrives there's in her element, Eden's not like the average girl her age she's short about 5'4 , pale , covered in tattoos her favorite is all her bats, her plugs that her mother swears are the size of dinner plates , they are barely an inch and her nose piercings but what's she most insecure about is her weight , she's not a thin girl she has curves and a stomach and stretch marks her breasts don't perk up so she uses her looks and her hair as a Shield, she feels like a shell of a person.

"Uhm hello let's go come on " Alex yells from outside the car. Pulling her from my thoughts. She groans but reluctantly gets out of the car. Flicking her cigarette and locking the door. She walks with her brother to the office to get settled in.

As they stand there with the lady at the desk. Eden is not happy about having to repeat another semester of her senior year . She just turned 19 the week before. " okay you two here is your schedules Eden looks like most of your credits are done but you have a few more to go so you will be a T/A most of the day and Alex here is your schedule I hope the both of you get settled in unfortunately there isn't a lot of students the semester" she says with a nervousness to her noice. So with that we turn and walk to their classes.
Alex goes to walk away without saying anything , Eden goes to say something but he walks away, leaving her there so she flips his off as he walks down the hall. Once she finds her first class she stops before walking in holding her breaths trying to calm her herself looking down at her outfit boots plaid green plants and a Judas Priest t-shirt and studded black belt, she turns the handle and walks in. And Everyone is looking at her, she feels her chest tighten, the teacher sits up and walks over. " oh yes you are the new teacher's assistant, what was your name again? " " Eden,  Eden Mordor" she tells the teacher. " class listen up this is Eden Mordor our new teacher's assistant for this period , please make her feel welcome even though it's almost the end of the year" the class say hello and goes back to work, " listen I don't have a lot for today so go ahead and take a seat wherever and just relax okay" the teacher says " oh okay cool thank you " Eden fake smiles and looks out to find a seat , she finds a group of boys in the back just starring at her . She reads their shirts "hellfire club".
