THE COMPETITION

"Pagal..." Both Ankit and Priyanka muttered together and then glanced each other laughing at the coincidence.
"Have a seat..." Ankit forwarded while Priyanka sat down hesitatingly.
"Pta nhi us Kharoos Momowale ne mere bare mein kya kya bataya hoga..." Priyanka thought in her mind embarrassed.
"Chinta mat kro... Nackchari Madam k alava usne tumhare bare mein kuch nhi bataya..." Ankit said smiling seeming to read her mind.
"Nhi... Nhi..." Priyanka tried to cover up but then noticing it was of no use stopped and laughed it out. She felt more relieved now...
"Rohini ne kafi kuch bataya h tumhare bare mein..." Ankit said smiling.
"Haa... Wo acchi baat hi bolegi... I have nothing to worry..." Priyanka said smiling then seeing Ankit laugh understood that she had just spoken her thoughts aloud.
"Um... How did u meet Rohini ?" Priyanka questioned now getting serious.
"Well... In a filmy sort of way you can say... Actually I saved her from drowning once..." Ankit said with a laugh.
"Ohh... Have u guys been meeting since then ?"
"Not that often... We've met like twice... But what is this...I feel like I'm being interviewed now..." Ankit said laughing.
Priyanka looked a bit embarrassed.
"Re.. Don't be uncomfortable... I was just joking... Its necessary to be concerned about your friend..." Hearing this Priyanka smiled.
"Wese meri dost h isliye nhi bol rhi... But Rohini sach mein bohot acchi ladki h..."
"Haa... Dikne mein bhi... Aur dil se bhi..." Ankit said lost in his thoughts.
That was the green light for Priyanka. A boy whose love just wasn't only for Rohini's body but her heart. Priyanka was now relieved of all stresses.
"Sunke accha laga..."
This brought Ankit out of his dream world and he focused on Priyanka who was smiling widely in front of him.

A waiter brought them their coffee.
"Wese for how long do u know Reyansh ?" Priyanka changed the topic.
"Oh.. A long time now... We've been friends since he came to this town... When he was like 5 or 6..." He leaned closer and whispered in her ear. "Honestly... Rey was a hard core introvert..." Hearing this Priyanka laughed.
"I was the one who made the first conversation..." Ankit said puffing with pride hearing which both of them shared a good laughter.
"Then once I saw him cuddling a dog at a park... I thought what a weirdo.... Cuz I'm really afraid of dogs... So then a pack of dogs suddenly started chasing me and he saved me from them..." Ankit ended with a smile.
"Haa uske baad iske saat bohot jhagra bhi hua tha... Cuz he was like the bhai of the group and usko bachake techinally I became the bhai..." Reyansh who had just arrived beside them to serve an order completed the story for Priyanka. She laughed.
"Haa Haa... Thik h... Kuch zyada hi muh chalta h iska... Chal nikal abhi..." Ankit said with an embarrassed tone and after Reyansh left he joined Priyanka in her laughter too.
"Bas ese hi jhagre jhagre mein ho gyi dosti... How about u and Rohini ?" He asked.
"Oh... I know her since my school days... She was the diet freak and me , a foodie... To uske dost mujhe leke use chirhate the aur mere dost use lekar... To bas fir wese hi pehchan hui aur pta bhi nhi chala kab dost ban gaye..." Priyanka said with a smile.
"Par Rohini ko dekh k lag to nhi rha tha ki wo diet freak h..."
"Huh... Wo isiliye kyuki u haven't seen me eating... Once u see me you'll understand what a real foodie is..." Priyanka said proudly.
"Well that's great... I should probably treat u to a meal someday... I really like people who encourage the spirit of food and eating. Rey just likes to cook. He's not that of a eater...."
"I have also met very few people who encourage me being a foodie... U know something.. When I was little I always wanted an elder brother who would enjoy having meals with me and if I'm going overboard with my cravings , he'll even coax Dad for me... But hua kya... Yash peyda ho gya...I mean my younger brother... Use to mein bachati hu Papa se...wo kya Papa ko coax krega..." Priyanka said with slight dissatisfaction. Ankit laughed.
"Even I have always fancied a sister... Honestly bachpan se mujhe rakhi bandhwane ka bohot shauk tha... Pehle to Swati...I mean Rey's sister... Wo bandhti thi but-" Ankit was interrupted by a group of boys from a table nearby who had just started wooing Priyanka.
