19 year old Maeve Marie had finally stopped believing in love after her parents had divorced when she was just 10 years old. They had always had their fights about the stupidest things but this time it felt like she was the reason. She was the reason they got divorced. She felt like she was the one to blame. All she wanted was to have a happy life but she couldn't even get that. She loved and cared for others but she somehow couldn't get that in return. She desired for someone's affection and love.
Her grandmother decided she would be responsible for her. Although she was with her grandmother, throughout those years it had only brought her pain and misery. She wished for this nightmare to just be over. Just when she thought life was getting better until her grandmother had died. It caused her even more pain and she went through grief.
She had just moved to Hawkin's to live with her cousins Nancy Wheeler and Mike Wheeler since her grandmother had died. Hawkins was a living hell.. She had joined hawkins high in the middle of the school year. The hawkins group when she was gone, had finally defeated vecna. But when Maeve first arrived, she had decided to date Billy Hargrove to seek comfort in someone and he didn't. He had claimed her, she felt like it was her obligation to obey him. He would get mad at her at times, and god he almost hit her once as well. She decided he didn't deserve her at all. She ended things with him but as soon as she did, she felt regret somehow.
She had been stuck in her bedroom sulking, until Nancy and Robin had convinced her to go to a party after her breakup with Billy. She went and saw Corroded Coffin playing that night. That's when she saw Eddie with his long frizzy hair, black baggy jeans, and to top it off with a black Metallica shirt. Maeve had seen him before, well of course she has. She knew him as the guy that helped defeat Vecna. They never really had talked, maybe once or twice but other from that they never became friends or more than that until now. She had drank a lot from the party and the last thing she remembered was Billy yelling at her , almost about to lay a finger on her until someone stopped him. Then she blacked out.
She decided to go to a convenience store one night and that's when she had then encountered Eddie Munson again and talked to him about what happened at the party because it seems like she doesn't remember at all to only find out something horrible.The Next day after, She had been asked by the school to help Eddie in some of his classes in order for her to get a recommendation letter for college . Maeve didn't want to at first but she agreed because this could be good for her. Overtime they had bonded mentally and physically. They somehow saved each other and it was as if they were drowning but still saved each other.
The rest is history.
