The longest word in the English language is called:

 "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis".

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is a lung disease, which inflames the lungs, caused by inhaling fine silicate or quartz dust.

How do I know this? I memorized the definition, how to spell, and how to pronounce the word in 4th grade.

The longest word to ever exist is Titin, but not in this form. The full name of Titin is actually:

Long, right? In fact, it is 189,819 letters long and takes about 3 hours (I don't know exactly) to pronounce

Long, right? In fact, it is 189,819 letters long and takes about 3 hours (I don't know exactly) to pronounce.

It is the largest protein ever discovered and is found inside our very bodies. The chemical formula of Titin is

C169,719 H270,466 N45,688 O52,238 S911

You'd think a 4th grader wouldn't be able to know this (minus the chemical formula), but I was no ordinary 4th grader. I have very nerdy interests.
