Steve driving off to go home thinking to himself how he can protect kat from Billy and how he really felt when he spoke to her and made her laugh and blush when that's steve job to do then that's when he realised spending time together since they were younger and everything that happened last year Nancy getting close to Johnthan and spending more time with Kat and having a laugh that's when he realised

Kat woke up from her nap it was 5:30 in the evening so she got up as Steve was coming to pick her at 7:00 so she got and took a shower blowed dried her hair and curled her hair now just trying to find an outfit so looking through her wardrobe she found a perfect red dress to wear for the new year and thought that Billy would like it when he sees her as he was going to be there obviously she wouldn't stay with Steve and Nancy as they will be kissing each other's face off all night kat might aswell go off and have some fun and get drunk

Steve was here so kat grabbed Steve jacket and put it just incase it gets cold later so walking out Steve was sitting on the hood of his car when he looked up

"Hey "

" does this look ok "

" you look beautiful " Steve said not being able to keep his eyes off her

Kat got in the car and Steve was still standing couldn't believe his eyes he got in the car and picked up nancy they drove to the party the whole school is there people outside dancing and making out

They entered the house and stands in a corner Steve went to get drinks for him kat and Nancy

" you look beautiful tonight " Nancy said

Kat looked at her

" thanks you look beautiful aswell "

" thanks " Nancy said Steve walking back over with some drinks

" here you go ladies "

Then Billy walked over to us starring at Steve then kat looking her up and down he didn't say anything just looked at her then walked passed she couldn't believe it she thought he was interested in her maybe he wasn't after all

Steve and Nancy went off to dance leaving kat in her own sitting in the chair drinking her drink

So she decided to go find Steve to dance with until everyone stopped what they were doing kat was confused until she saw Nancy running up the stairs covered in red kat looked over at Steve and was wondering what was going on

Steve's pov
Nancy was drinking and getting out of control so I decided to try and stop her

But instead I accidentally spilled the alcohol on her her running upstairs to the bathroom I saw kat look at Nancy running and then me wondering what was going on so I ran after Nancy to the bathroom where she was cleaning up

" Nancy I'm sorry that's not coming off Nancy "

" it's coming "

" come on let me just take you home ok come here "

" you wanted this " Nancy slurred

" no I didn't want this I told you to stop drinking " Steve said

" your pretending like everything is okay you know like we didn't .. like we didn't kill barb like it's great like we're in love and we're partying yeah let's party huh part we're partying this is bullshit "

Steve goes and leaves her couldn't believe this is the end for him and Nancy Steve walking downstairs and seeing kat dancing and laughing Steve walking over and grabbing her

" come on we're going " Steve grabbed her arm

" leaving so soon Harrington " Billy said

" we're leaving " Steve said looking at kat

" why I want to party more "

" I think the lady wants to stay besides we haven't spoke all night and it's nearly new year " Billy said smirking at kat Steve watching her

" she's not interested " Steve grabbed her and walking to the car

Kat walking off going home crying she couldn't believe Steve say that to her be so nice saying he deserved her but was with Nancy I don't know what's going on with them kat has been growing strong feelings for Steve but him being with Nancy and now not they broke up before and got together so what would stop them again and plus she was drunk and Billy didn't even pay attention to me all tonight so what's the point she's done with boys and she certainly done with Steve
