He smiles beneath the light of the horizon,
Pacing between a dirty hallway.
There my heart's little song began,
I hope it'll end so just as it ran.
Still it went on for a while,
He was by my side yet still so far away.
Look at me with love, I wish
Ignite again the fire,
That was once there in black flames.
My dream of forever was only a minute's bliss,
Yet it was the longest on my mind.
Give me what I deserved, oh please
For my soul was long ago left behind.
Fulfill my wish that never lived,
Wish your love was happily for free.
My faith was thin yet I still believed,
Wish life imprinted us a WE.
Those short moments were little to thee,
But darling, it felt like love to me.
