~The way i used to be ~

chapter 21

Izuku look down at the papers and found out they were adoption papers. "Y-you mean, you want to adopt me?" He ask unsure.

" Exactly, we just need your signature, but only if you want" Aizawa place hand on Izuku's shoulder to let him know everything was fine.

Izuku's eyes start to water and before he knows it he had started crying. " I- I, I really don't know what to say. D-do you really w-want me in your f-family?"

Aizawa chuckle. " If we didn't, why would i give you that option right now then?"

"Thank you!" Midoriya whisper before he hug the adult. " Thank you so much" he say again but this time louder. Aizawa was stunned at first but eventually hug the now crying boy back.

When Izuku calm down he say he probably had ro go back to his dorm. Aizawa nod and tell him he understands, and will be waiting for Izuku to decide whenever he wants to sign the papers or if he wants at all. But that didn't bother the oldest, based on the greenette's reaction he doubled that he'll refuse the offer. It was only matter of time and Aizawa was willing to give Izuku that time. He himself was adopted and knew how hard of decision it can be and how hard is to get use to new family.

After Izuku left with the adoption papers, Aizawa called Mic and told him that he already tell Izuku. Mic was happy that the kid is even considering it and he just like Aizawa was willing to give Izuku as much time as needed.

When Izuku get back some people such as Shinso, Tsu, Kirishima, Twice, Dabi (even if he would never admit it) and Toga look at him with worry. It was pretty visible that he had been crying, not like he tried to hide it anyway.

Izuku didn't greet anyone and just straight walk up to his room. He didn't even bother to lock the door after himself, he was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn't notice the knock on the door, nor how it open, or close. He didn't notice all the people in his room until Dabi snap his fingers infront of Izuku's face.

That get him back on his senses as he look at everyone in his room. Dabi sat next to him on his bed, on his other side Toga, Shinso and Twice on the floor. "When did you come here, guys?" He ask confuse.

" A while ago" Toga say. " You just didn't notice us."

" Yeah, what's up with that anyway, before i couldn't even enter the same building as you without your knowledge and now i was about to get next to you" Dabi say.

" I guess when you don't use some skills you just forget how ro use it?" Izuku say more like a question than an answer.

" No seriously, what happened in Aizawa's office? I can see you cried." Shinso say from the floor.

" What?! He was in Aizawa's office?!" Dabi shout. " What the hell did you do?" He ask as he look the greenette in the eyes.

" Nothing. He just....... wanted to talk.... i guess" Izuku mumbled the last part but everyone in the quiet room hear it.

" What did he wanted to take about? Please tell us. No don't, i don't want to know!" Twice ask.

" Um, how do i explain this" Izuku try to form sentences.

" Just explain it simply" Shinso smile.

Izuku sigh " The easier way to to explain it is" He show them the adoption papers. " Is if you just read that" he say.

Dabi snatched the papers faster than the light and start reading through them. When he was done his eyes were wide in surprise.

Seeing Dabi's reaction Shinso grab the paper from him and read them himself. " He wants to adopt you?!" He say out loud so everyone in the room could hear. " We can be brothers!" Shinso say existed. It wasn't secret for anyone in the class that Shinso and Aizawa were related in some way. I mean they basically have the same personality.

" Yeah, but... I'm not entirely sure yet. I need some time" Izuku confess. Shinso nos showing he understands and is fine.

" That's awesome!" Twice shout. 'If even his bipolar self agrees then maybe...... maybe that will be the right thing to do" Izuku thought to himself and smile abit

" Twice is right! I'm so happy they give you that opportunity!" Toga hug Izuku.

" Yeah, congrats small man" Dabi say with a smirk.

" Ugh, even now you'll tease me for my shortines, seriously?" Izuku ask lightly annoyed.

" It won't be like me to miss the opportunity" he say with  a joking eye row at the end.

" Pfft- Whatever you say, you walking corpse" Izuku laugh.

" Walking corpse?" Ask Shinso. " I mean, he have alot of scars and all, but corpse? Isn't that a bit extreme?"

Izuku look at Dabi, who nod giving him permission to tell Shinso and that he trust him. " Well, you gotta promise not tell anyone, okay?" Shinso nod and Izuku continue. " So basically, mister burn ass here" he point at Dabi. "Is pronoused dead"

Shinso's eyes widen. " Then how is he here?"

" They never found my body" Dabi shrug shoulders " They just pronounsed me dead, without proof"

" What about your family then? They must really miss you" Shinso ask.

Dabi chuckle. " Believe it or not, they're better without me"

" Can i tell him? Well, Toga and Twice too, i guess" Izuku look at Dabi for permission.

" Yeah go ahead, i will just lie down for now" He say and sigh.

"So your the only one who knows he's true identity?" Shinso ask curious.

" Yeah he is" Toga cross arms. " It's not fair he told him, right?" She pout.

" He didn't tell me, i figure it out on my own and he decided there's no point in laying to me." Izuku defend himself and cross arms. "Anyway, he's real name is Toya Todoroki. That's why we keep it a secret."

" WAIT! Wait, Todoroki?! As Shoto Todoroki?! You know, the kid with red and white hair? That Todoroki family?" Shinso ask in disbelieve.

Dabi row his eyes and sit up again. "Yeah, that Todoroki. Now you see why i wanted no one to know"

" Damn dude, that's gonna be one messed up family reunion" Shinso sigh.

" That exactly why we didn't tell the staff or Shoto his real name." Izuku point out. " It's gonna be too much of a chaos anyway, plus he's already adult, there's just no point in doing do"

" He's right. Just abit more and i can be free and do my own shit" Dabi back up Izuku

" No illegal thing" Izuku remind him

Dabi chuckle. " No illegal things" he look Izuku in the eyes. " Only drugs" he say with a smirk, before he was hit by pillow.

" No drugs either!" Shout the shorter one will green hair.

" Pfft- okay, okay. No drugs" Dabi put his hand up in defense. " Only if you let Aizawa to adopt you tho."

Izuku puff his cheeks to pout. " I was gonna do that anyway" he say and cross arms once again.

" Good" Dabi say as he nod to himself.

Izuku row eyes. " Alright that's it, all of you out" He grab everyone by the hand and lead them toward tha door. " Also before you go, Shinso" he turn to the purple haired boy. " Don't tall Aizawa about that i agree with the adoption please. I want to surprise him"

Shinso laugh. " Don't worry, i won't" he  insure the other boy, before leaving him alone. Izuku sigh and close his door, right after which he go to sleep. The truth is, he haven't slept that good in years. Live finally was getting better for him and he couldn't wait to see what else was on his way.

There's not much left of this book. The ending will be soo. I haven't decided if it's gonna be in the next chapter or there would be so more.

You'll just have to wait and see for yourself,  i guess.
