Chapter Thirty-Eight

"We're good thank you." I told her, faking a smile. She nodded and walked off while I turned back to Kendall. A sigh left me when I saw that she was staring out of the window, looking at the scenery as it passed by.

"I've never been on a train before." She told me, after a couple seconds of complete silence."It's pretty cool actually, beautiful too."

"Just wait till you see where we're going." I told her, smiling when she glanced over at me suspiciously. She then shook her head and turned back to looking out of the window.

If what we've had planned - meaning me and Jessica- went well this would be our first official date that actually turned out good. Sure it was a little weird that my ex was helping me plan out a date for another girl. Though I wasn't really the best when it came to really romantic things. A movie and snacks was as romantic as I could get, but after everything I put her through she deserved to be romanticized.

If that was even a word.

"How long till we get there?" Her voice broke my train of thought as I turned to look at her.

"Two to three hours at the most." I responded, with a smile.

"What are we going to do until then, play I spy?" She laughed after saying that, and moved closer to me until she was pressed up against my side. I slung my arm over her shoulder and pulled her in till there was no room left between us.

"We could do that," I suggested, while taking her other hand in mine. For some reason today I just couldn't keep my hands to myself. I had to be touching her in some way."or we could just talk till we get there."

"Talk about what?" She asked, as her eyes focused on our intertwined hands.

"I don't know, what about how your morning went."

At that she laughed,"Louis I'm pretty sure you know how my morning went. You were in fact there."

I laughed knowing full well what she meant by that, but frowned."I'm sorry about that though. I shouldn't have let you get arrested again," My frown deepened if that was possible."Your brothers going to kill me."

She laughed,"Don't worry about him. Besides I really wanted to hit her, so it was worth it." She admitted, while glancing up at me a small smile on her lips. I couldn't help but stare at her lips and think about wanting to kiss her at that moment.

"Can I kiss you?" I blurted out, slightly taken back by what I'd asked. Though I couldn't help but laugh nervously, and pull my hand away from hers to scratch at the back of my neck."You don't have to answer-"

The soft press of her lips against mine had stopped me from speaking all together. I brought my hand up to cup her cheek and possibly deepen the kiss if she'd allow it. Slowly I'd parted her lips with my tongue, but before I could do anything a throat cleared and we'd separated, panting slightly.
