"1...2...3 ... Go!"

He sprinted down the empty hallway at the speed of light. If he didn't make it in time, If he didn't succeed, he would be royally screwed and at the mercy of the group of assholes crouched behind him.

"Do you think he's gonna actually do it?" boy #1 asked.

"I have no fucking clue." boy #2 answered.

They all locked eyes on Kou, who was running so fast it looked like he was being chased by some vicious man–eating monster. They stayed crouched behind the corner and hung onto the wall, waiting for when he turned to the other direction.

Once he was out of sight, they booked it and started following in after him.

The boy ran down 2 flights of stairs before hurrying into the school yard and darting his way over to the gym. Two of the older boys stayed behind and went into the bathrooms nearby while the rest of the group hurried in after him.
He flung the door open, causing all eyes belonging to the girls volleyball team to widen at the obnoxiously loud entrance. He scanned his eyes desperately over at the benches and spotted the prize. A pink towel sitting on the wooden seats next to a water bottle. Bingo.

He raced over to the benches and quickly grabbed the towel, holding onto it tight and rushing back to the exit. The sight of him stealing the new girls rag that she had been using to wipe her sweat during practice had caused the girls to think the worst of the worst. As anyone would if they witnessed such an act.

They all started screaming in unison as he headed for the exit. The coach started yelling hysterically at the boy, blowing her whistle frequently as if she were alerting something or someone. He finally reached the doors of the exit and slammed them open with the weight of his body, the adrenaline and determination overcoming and numbing the pain.

Now, all he had to do was make it back to the bathrooms and stay out of sight for the next hour.
He waved over to the group of boys waiting by the corner, running for his life towards the direction of the bathrooms. They followed behind him into the outdoor corridor that lead to the next building.

He was almost there. Just a little bit longer. Hold out for just a little while longer. It'll be all over and done with soon. I just need to keep running.
The boy was so busy getting to where he needed to be that he completely forgot to remember to be sneaky. He was just a hallway or two away from reaching the bathrooms when he bumped into something hard. He instantly fell down flat onto the floor.

Fuck, did I just run into a wall?

He held the side of his head with his palm, looking up at what he just crashed into.

Except it wasn't an it. He did not hit a wall,
he hit a person.

"I'm so sorry! a- are you okay?"

It was a tall and husky guy who had a mean looking face and his hair up in a bun. Despite coming off as scary, there was a hint of sincere worry and care in the tone of his voice.

The only thing that could come out of Kou's mouth was, "J– Jesus?"

The guys face turned from worried to utterly confused. "Uh- Jesus?" the guy muttered back.

"Hey! You there, come back here!" another loud voice called out from the distance. This time it sounded stern and disciplinary-like. Like it was the voice of a teacher.

Well shit.

Kou knew who's voice that was. He had been all too familiar with it many times before. He also knew the footsteps of those leather dress shoes perfectly well and exactly who they belonged to. A defeated look washed over the boys face as he dropped his head down in exhaustion. He failed. He was completely screwed. He had lost the game.

The infamous sound of suede heels hitting the tile floor approached closer and closer, Kou's heart beating faster along with the rhythm, as if it were the universes way of making fun of the boys failure.

The steps stopped right in front of him. Before he knew it he had been yanked up by the back collar of his shirt, like a misbehaving dog from it's collar. "This is the fifth time this month that you've caused trouble on my watch. When will you learn to behave, Minami?!" the man yelled from behind him.

The teacher looked over to the other student who was practically trembling in fear. It was kind of funny seeing such a tall buff guy get shook up like that by some dumb staff member. It would've been even funnier if Kou weren't in the situation he was in now. The man scanned his eyes at the older looking student up and down. In anyone's eyes a husky guy like that still looks like a thug, regardless if he looked visibly scared or not; so the teacher held his suspicions for a minute longer. His eyes ran over the boys face as if he was searching for some sort of guilt in the students expression.

The teacher suddenly pushed Kou toward the opposite direction and grabbed him by the back of his collar again.

"You're going to regret acting like such a buffoon. Just wait."

Then, the student and teacher walked down to the office and disappeared out of the tall students sight.

The man-boy whispered to himself when he was finally alone.

"Jesus?"
