(sorry this will get more interesting just want to introduce them and what not)
October's POV
5 minutes away from my new apartment grinning ear to ear as I get closer. I can never stay in one place, but I've never moved states before. Thankfully my best friend let me crash at her place for a few months and I was able to save up to rent a cheap apartment in New York. Are the kitchen living room and my room one tiny square... yeah. The ceiling is a little leaky but made the deal even better.
I pull my red Toyota Corolla into my very own designated parking spot. I grab my box of clothes and essentials walking up the 3 flights of stairs unlocking the door. I look around smiling and sit on the bed the landlord left for me. Honestly, he probably didn't want to lug it down the stairs. I start to set up what little things I have. I know its not ideal but I didn't move here for the apartment... obviously, you probably assumed. Nothing a few plants can't fix. I have trouble getting comfortable places, I always need change and something new in life. That may be a combo of ADHD and caffeine addiction maybe some childhood shit too, buttt I'm no doctor. I don't know how to explain it but I really can't settle anywhere. I long for that feeling of home. I'm just starting to think it doesn't exist.
Thankfully I already have a job lined up, I start bright and early tomorrow morning. I was able to get a phone interview, let's face it though they're desperate.
I sigh happily and unpack my box and then my trash bag getting all my essentials, I make my bed and have a quick shower. It's already pretty late and I want to be in a good mood for my first day. I decide to order pizza and soon knock out with sauce around my mouth.
-----
The next morning I woke up to my alarm. I groan and sit up running a hand through my dark blue curls. I get ready for the day putting on some jeans, black vans, and a black shirt. I hope in my car turning the heat on and heading into my first day of work. I'm a little nervous. I turn up the radio "FUCK YEAH! DO DO DO DO DOOO" I smile singing As it was by Harry Styles on the top of my lungs. Soon I arrive, we do some basic training and they leave me on the register since its getting quite busy.
Honestly, the system is kind of hard and the buttons are all over the place. They could have made those a lot more efficient. The doorbell rings signaling someone has come in. I look down at the screen trying to figure out what the actual fuck to do on this thing. I bite my bottom lip and let out a groan as I try to get to the basic ordering page forgetting someone is there.
"Good morning to you too," a deep voice out of nowhere says causing me to jump and look up immediately. My freckled cheeks flush as I fidget with my hands behind the counter. My big blue eyes meet his stone-cold hazel ones. This man made me look small and I'm like 5'4! He was definitely hot his perfectly slick-backed black hair .. don't even get me started with that jawline. Anyway-
"Goodmorning! I'm really sorry I'm new and this system is complete shit and I- shit I said shit I-" I cover my mouth looking up at him my face now beat red. He just looks down at me chuckling his stone-cold features surprisingly softening. "A coffee black," he asks.. well more demands from me.
"yes, sir right away I'm very sorry." I scramble to add it in. He pays with a black card. A fucking black card. I gulp and get his coffee ready coming back almost spilling it on my way. "Again I'm sorry about that it was very unprofessional and I-" He then cuts me off "Don't worry love." He winks and walks out.
One of my new coworkers stares at me with her jaw dropped, and her thickly drawn-on eyebrows raised. I furrow my eyebrows "Yes?" I question, she shakes her head "You have no idea who that is do you?" I look at her shaking my head. "Elijah Jacobs. You just made him laugh. You made Elijah fucking Jacobs laugh." I just stare at her utterly confused. She just shakes her head and continues what she's doing.
Later on, I finally get to clock out. All day repeating in my head is his name. I get home not bothering to change I get on my bed laying on my stomach open my laptop searching, you guessed it, Elijah Jacobs. I read through many articles. Apparently, he is the CEO of one of New York's biggest companies. What I get is he is some hard-ass hot dude who has everyone tryna get in his pants. There are so many articles from business to his love life. One even titled 'Elijah Jacobs' loveless life' I have to admit that made me giggle. From the pictures, I'm starting to think I'm the only one in history to see him smile. Well... me and sharpie brows. I look through google stopping at a paparazzi picture of him entering the gym, I bite my bottom lip. Underneath the suit, his arms were muscular and full of beautiful artwork. Seemed like his whole body may be covered but to my dismay, the rest was covered by sweats and a muscle T. He seems like a pretty boring dude other than that. Speaking of boring I could use some spice.
"Hey Siri? Wheres the nearest club?"
