If you were to chronicle my thoughts
Though I can't imagine why
You'd come across nought
But a dark, darker than night
If you were to perchance
Sift through my dreams
You'd find an eerie expanse
Of unuttered screams
And then if you proceeded
To ask of my desires
You'd smell the rather acrid
Tang of a dying fire
If you were to dive
Into the depths of my mind
I'd hate to contrive
What you'd find inside
My world is dark
But yet there is a glow
No sun, no moon and not a star
All that's left, is my grayscale rainbow
