"grammy!" She exclaimed while walking to the kitchen to see if her grandma was there
"oh- y/n! Just in time!" Grammy said FIRST PERSON "for...?" i say confused on what she could be talking about
"well i need to talk to you about something". i stood in silence
"you know grammy is getting old.." no. no no not yet.
"and...i have to go to the nursing home dear." and she said it.
"grammy i can take care of you here! and who am i even gonna live with?!" i say practically begging on my knees
"oh sweetheart" she laughed and continued "you will be just fine with your uncle!"
"...uncle...?"
"yeah the one from last night!" she said grabbing her things
"but" i stuttered out "i don't even know them" "you'll get to know them just fine y/n..have everything packed by tomorrow okay? Not like you unpacked much anyhow!" she chuckled
"yeah." i say staring blankly
- time skip i put my walkman on as i walked to school, thinking of my uncle and cousins. until i saw a black van, a old missing person poster flew my way it read "vance hopper, 13-" it continued on with his address, it made me sick to my stomach. - school donna came to sit by me again "hey donna!" "hey!" "do you know of someone named finney blake?" "oh- yeah he's in my science class." "oh cool" "why did you ask?" "his dad is my uncle and i'm gonna have to stay with them" "wow really? well he's really nice." "i met him once when i was like 9 but i don't really remember him" "oh-" she got interrupted by the teacher - LUNCH i sigh as i look around the lunchroom again i see donna and go try to sit by her "can i sit here?" i say "yeah sure! Guys this is y/n l/n, she's new." they all say hi "hi" i sit down and start talking to donna "oh yeah, i talked to finney he said gwen is excited to meet you!" "nice" i say relieved i eat my lunch and get to class and see bruce waving me down with the boy with the bandana by him again "hey bruce!" i say "hey y/n, this is one of my friends." "hi" i say a little awkward "hey, im robin" he says holding out his hand for me to shake "hey im y/n l/n" i say smiling and shaking his hand, i got butterflies when he held my hand for a second longer. "thanks!" i said heading to the chair TEACHER TALKING "do you understand anything he's saying?" robin whispers to me "sorta, do you need help?" i whisper back "please." he said "Y/n Robin, be quiet please." The teacher says with everyone staring at us "sorry." i say robin puts his hands up mimickly and i try to hold in my laugh.
