Chapter Fifty-Eight.

"Fireworks?" (Y/n) murmured, eyeing all of the things Fred and George had set up.

"Here," Fred said, tossing (Y/n) her pair of headphones. "I'm not sure how much it'll block out, but I've tried casting a noise-reducing charm on them... Maybe a bit of music will work more for you? Normal hearing people wouldn't be able to hear a thing." (Y/n) stuck her tongue out at him, slipping on her headphones nonetheless.

"How'd you even get these?" (Y/n) asked.

"Your headphones?" George asked. (Y/n) gave him a bewildered stare due to the fact that, for the first time in a while, his voice was a regular volume. "They work?" George grinned.

"I mean, kind of," (Y/n) said. "It doesn't sound like you're shouting." Fred and George high-fived and (Y/n) was still left wondering how they got hold of her headphones. She plugged in her walkman before taking a few steps back to where Fred and George had told her to stand.
(Y/n) watched as Fred and George magically set fire to each of them before flying away to (Y/n)'s side.

BOOM!

The ground they were on rumbled quite harshly, giving the feeling of an earthquake. (Y/n) did not care much for it, for she was far more focused on the dragons comprised entirely of green-and-gold sparks soaring up and down the corridors. Shocking-pink Catherine wheels five feet in diameter were whizzing lethally through the air like so many flying saucers. Rockets with long tails of brilliant silver stars were ricocheting off the walls. Sparklers were writing swearwords in midair of their own accord. Fireworks were exploding like mines in every direction (Y/n) looked.
George took (Y/n)'s hand, leading her through a concealed door just behind a tapestry in order to keep out of Filch's and Umbridge's eyesight. (Y/n) cracked the door in order to still watch the fireworks as they were far more pleasant knowing she wasn't hearing them go off in louder volumes than she was used to.
To (Y/n)'s deep amusement, Umbridge had tried to stun one of the rockets. Rather than freezing midair, it exploded with such force that it blasted a hole in a painting of a soppy-looking witch in the middle of a meadow— she ran for it just in time, reappearing seconds later squashed into the painting next door, where a couple of wizards splaying cards stood up hastily to make room for her.

"Don't Stun them, Filch!" shouted Umbridge angrily. The twins and (Y/n) snickered. They all jumped as Harry slipped behind the tapestry to go through the concealed door. Harry had also jumped.

"Impressive," Harry said quietly, grinning. "Very impressive... You'll put Dr. Filibuster out of business, no problem..."

"Cheers," whispered George, wiping tears of laughter from his face. "Oh, I hope she tries Vanishing them next... They multiply by ten every time you try..." The four kept the door cracked for a bit, watching Umbridge and Filch run around before they grew bored.

"Hey, we've got a big show planned tonight," Fred told (Y/n) and Harry before blindly attempting to tap (Y/n)'s nose and nearly getting her eye in the process. "You better watch it. I think you'll enjoy it."

"All right," (Y/n) mused.

The fireworks continued to burn and spread all over the school that afternoon. Though they caused plenty of disruption, particularly the firecrackers, the other teachers did not seem to mind them very much.

"(Y/n), (Y/n), (Y/n)!" Fred shouted as he, George, and Lee burst into the Ravenclaw common room. The whole room fell silent, staring at the trio in a mixture of alarm and amusement.

"How'd you get in here?"

"Don't worry about it," George said dismissively.

"Will a (Y/n) (Y/l/n) please make her presence known?" Lee said, cupping his hands around his mouth. Several people looked around for the girl in question.
