*this story will be done through both his and her pov!*

[Daniel]

Everyone had been talking about this new "cute" girl. I didn't understand what all the hype was about, all I knew was that she had just moved here and everyone was already obsessed with her.

I stroll into class a few minutes late like always and take my seat near the back. "Yo, Daniel. I heard that new girl is in our classes." I looked up at my friend Joshua that was sitting in front of me.

"So?"
He smirked at me while twiddling his pencil, "she might let you hit."
I scoffed and shoved him.
"Whatever dude."

I had math first thing in the morning, as if it wasn't the most boring thing ever. Being near the back of the class, I could doze in and out easily without being caught. Besides, high-school was said to be a breeze and they usually let anyone pass through. I had almost fallen completely asleep until the classroom door flung open.

Looking up, I saw her come rushing through the door. She had light brown hair, and a natural blush that complimented her pale skin. She had a stack of textbooks in her arms, and a heavy looking bookbag.
She had on this ugly brown jacket with a spaghetti strap top underneath, to top it all off her jeans were worn, with holes at her knees.

"Sorry I'm late, I got lost and-"

Our teacher looked at her and snatched the pass, crumbling it up. "Go take a seat."

The only open seat was at the very front of the class. All of us watched as she quickly made her way to the seat setting her books down with a thump.

I looked up at Joshua, who was smiling at me. "Staring at her already? Someone must have a crush."

I rolled my eyes, "dude shes not even pretty."

.  .  .

It felt like it had been ages til the bell finally rung, everyone hopping up from their seats.

I was packing up my things when Joshua leaned up against my desk. "Wait til Dash and Sam hear you were checking out the newbie."

And with that he ran off laughing.

I swung my bookbag over my right shoulder and made my way out of the classroom. I was playing on my phone until I heard the most agonizing voice ever.

Looking up I saw Julie, coming straight towards me.

I hated her. But she really seemed to love me. I sighed and turned around in effort to avoid her, only to come face to face with that girl from earlier.

"Um, you're standing in front of my locker could you please move." She said looking up at me.

I glanced back at Julie who was still coming for me at an extremely fast pace. Quickly, I 'accidently' knocked her textbooks out of her arms.

"Whoops." I bent down to help her pick them up, as if it wasn't completely my fault they fell in the first place.

"Did you just-"

"Elsie, right?" I said, shoving her textbooks back into her arms. I could feel her confusion as we both stood back up.

"Um yes, but could you please move now?"

I watched as Julie continued walking, jealousy plastered on her face.

Suddenly, an idea sparked in my head. This was how I could keep Julie away. Looking back at the newbie I smiled and left without another word.
