The blonde couldn't help but feel unnerved by the situation. She couldn't put her finger on why, but something felt off.

So, to keep herself somewhat calm, her fingers continued to drum against the table. She could see Natasha throwing an annoyed look at her, but she didn't care about that at the moment.

And besides, being obnoxious was part of her personality. Glancing over at the cops again, she noticed something that Wanda hadn't commented on. "Both cross streets are one-way." She offered, hoping that Wanda would pick up on what she was hinting at.

But she needn't have worried. "So compromised escape routes." Wanda finished flawlessly.

"Means our guy doesn't care about being seen. He isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out." Steve paused. "You see the Range Rover halfway up the block?"

Wanda's eyes flickered over to the vehicle in question. "Yeah, the red one? It's cute."

"It's also bulletproof, which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us." Natasha joined in.

Keira shook her head in amusement, taking another sip to try and cover her chuckle. "Aren't you just a ray of sunshine, Romanoff?"

"You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?" Wanda intervened, sending a cheeky smile in Keira's direction before raising her cup and taking another sip. Even if she hadn't been allowed on too many missions yet, her powers had grown exponentially in the short time she had been with the Avengers.

And she had even started to have a little faith in them herself. Much to Keira's delight.

"Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature." Natasha reminded her, knowing far too well what happened if you didn't. As if to underline the spy's words, Wanda threw a glance over her shoulder at Natasha.

But before Keira had a chance to speak, Sam intervened. "Anybody ever tell you you're a little paranoid?"

She had to restrain herself from bursting out in laughter, but it seemed like the broad smile on her face had given her away since she earned a kick to the shin from the redhead.

"Not to my face. Why? Did you hear something?" Natasha raised an eyebrow, narrowing her eyes at the blonde across the table.

Keira threw her hands up in surrender. "Hey! Don't look at me like that. I'm innocent in all this." She whined, still rubbing her foot over the place on her leg where Natasha had kicked her.

Natasha hummed. "Sure. And Wanda doesn't accidentally pull you closer to her during training sessions." She lifted her coffee cup, smirking slightly at the blush spreading over the blonde's cheeks.

"How did I get dragged into this?" Wanda protested, throwing a look at the two women. But just like Keira, she too was blushing.

"Eyes on target, folks." Steve reminded them. Sometimes he appreciated the friendly banter happening in his team, but right now? Not really. "This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him."

Sam all but scoffed. "Didn't you say the same thing about the last mission? And besides, if he sees us coming, that won't be a problem. He kinda hates us." Well, he wasn't wrong about that.

Keira's focus was broken by the sudden sounds of loud honking and multiple raised voices. She couldn't see what was happening, which was greatly annoying, but it sounded like there was a lot going on and she couldn't help but tense up in her seat.

"Sam, see that garbage truck?" Steve questioned, not awaiting an answer. "Tag it." There were a few seconds of silence, and Keira hated that she didn't have an elevated view of the situation. It made her feel cut off, something she didn't appreciate.
