"I think we should see other people"

Time seemed to stand still for Kouki Aikawa, a 17yr old student at Kilo academy

"I Don't think it'll work out for us Kouki-kun"

He felt devastated and empty, remembering all those memories he and his now ex-girlfriend Haruna Kamei had together.

"W-Wait! W-Why Haruna-san," he said trying his hardest not to break down into tears.

"Goodbye Kouki," said Haruna as she began to walk away from the park they agreed to meet in

Tears started forming in kouki's eyes but he did his best not to cry

'why is she leaving me?'

Those words echoed through his mind as he began his mindless return home.

it was 7:00 pm and the sun was setting, it was the last day of summer too

kouki walked into his empty house and walked upstairs to his room

He locked himself in, jumped onto the bed, and started breaking down.

'why why why WHY'

He suffered in silence (Or tried to) for an hour

but slowly his eyes started to shut and he felt himself drift off to sleep

Right before sleeping, he said one more time

"Why? Haruna-san"

The room grew silent as kouki fell asleep

He dreamt about Haruna and the breakup

"I think we should see other people" it echoed in the dream and it got louder and louder until he woke up in a cold sweat shouting

"Haruna-san!"

He looked around his empty room, it was still dark out. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked the time

6:00 am it read and notification from his favorite game

Kouki put his phone down

'That's right I was supposed to play the new season with haruna-san '

He tried not to think about it and started getting ready for school

Although he tried, all he could think about was the breakup

He put his shoes on and headed out without eating anything

Kouki lived alone for the most part, his parents work overseas

'My eyes probably look all puffy from crying'
he thought to himself as he left the door

He couldn't be bothered anymore, all he felt was depression and sadness.

He felt alone and lost

In his mind he still couldn't process what happened
He couldn't process that he wouldn't touch her anymore
Love her anymore
Kiss her anymore
Be in her presence anymore...

'By now I'd be walking to Haruna's house to walk her'

Kouki caught himself thinking about her again, her scent, her smile, her eyes.

He remembered feeling a similar way when Haruna had told him that she was transferring to another school

'Was that why?' he thought to himself as he walked towards his school

he had remembered what she told him then

'Don't worry, ill always go to your house right after school and we can spend all evening together!'

He looked down to the ground

Her words then made him want to cry now,
but he held it in and wiped off the tears forming.

He was almost at the school entrance when...

"Yahoo kouki-chan!' Said a girl's voice coming from behind him

he turned to see who had called him when...

*Ack*

kouki nearly fell over, once he regained his balance he looked down to see his Best friend hugging him with a big smile

"I missed you, man!" She said while letting go of him and punching him in the shoulder

Kouki was both hurting (Probably from the punch) and shocked to see her

He thought he was imagining but no, there she was Pink hair with blonde-orange highlights, pale white skin, short, and bright purple eyes.

"R-Rina? Rina Yoshikawa?!" He spoke as a sense of relief came over the girl

And there she was, in her school vest with a purple jacket underneath and a transparent blue skirt over her leggings

"Phew, for a second I thought you forgot about me Kouk's," said the girl known as rina

"I thought you went to America as an exchange student?! What are you doing here?" Asked Kouki

"I transferred back and enrolled here at Kilo Academy over the summer" She replied with a wink

"So it's your first day today?" Asked kouki with a hint of excitement after finally seeing his best friend again.

"Yup! and it's your first day back too" She replied

Her voice was bubbly

It slowly faded out as kouki thought to himself

'I never thought I'd see Rina again'

He almost forgot about the break-up at the moment

Finally he snapped back

"S-so what classes do you have?" Kouki asked hoping they'd have the same schedule

"I don't know yet, hey will you walk with me to the Student Services? I think that's where I'm supposed to go" Asked Rina in her Bubbly and loud tone

"Oh, S-Sure no prob-"

Before kouki could finish his sentence Rina grabbed his hand and started quickly walking toward student services and almost dragging Kouki with her.

"I missed you kouki!" She said looking back at him with a big smile

Just then kouki's heart-felt weightless like all his problems disappeared. He felt joy and excitement.

His face had a nice blush when he said

"I missed you too Rina"

All that quickly went away however for his thoughts went back to Haruna

'Why? Haruna'
