"YES melly don't worry I'm old enough now. Go before she falls again" he says and begins to wave and walk away

"Alright see ya tomorrow then little babe"I shout knowing that it teases him

Me and the lady walk and I hear him shout that I need to stop calling him that as me and the Lady laugh at his childish behavior

Me and her talk the whole way till her house and I feel bad for not walking him the last few meters to his house but feel better as soon as I remember that he is proud of me helping her

Everyone would do the same in my situation? Wouldn't they?
Next day

I hear a knock at my door while finishing tying my hair

"Come in"

I see my dad Erik walk in

"Sweetie there is something I need to tell you"he sits on my bed and pats the spot next to me

"Yes dad"I gently smile and sit

I have a bad feeling.

"Just don't panic alright hunny?" His eyes look a little tired

"Just say it dad" I squint my eyes And begin to get panic a little inside of me

"You know that little cute friend of your? I think his name was Benny"

"You mean brunny?" I smile at the goofy name that he called brunien

"Yeah brunny. I'm very sorry Melina....

but he was reported missing today"he says while looking sad

My ears begin to ring and everything around me stops

"What" I shout and stand up from the shock

"No YOURE LYING" I say while tears roll down my cheek

"Oh Hunny I wish I was lying" he stands up and hugs me and I sob very loud

"But he was so innocent dad"I cry

"It was all my fault I didn't walk him the last few meters and now he's gone"

"Aww sweetie it's not your fault u did nothing wrong tell me about it" he pouts and pads my back

As the day goes on while crying and telling my dad about the old lady I go to school with red puffy eyes

Immediately two officers bring me to the principal and I get a whole lot of questions trying to prove my innocence

As they let me go again I walk out and see all students in the hall talking and walking probably about brunien missing

I see Annika and rush to go hug her trying to comfort her

"Oh annik -" I open my arms and she pushes me while sobbing loud

Now all the students go silent giving us all the attention

"DONT" she shouts and my eyes water

"I'm sorry" I cry and she slaps me in my face

Everyone gasps and I hold my cheek while saying nothing

Just my mouth agape

"Don't try to act innocent Melina. You just wanted revenge because you ditched your date and „had" to walk brunien home .WHICH YOU DIDNT and now he is gone!" She screams while crying as her friends held her arms

"Melina franklins you really have the nerve. He didn't deserve to get taken because of your jealousy" she cry's and tries to attack me as the teachers barge out of the room from all the loud noises and try to calm everyone down

"Go into the big hall children we important things to tell"the teachers shout and all the students begin to move into the hall
