Buster lived for the promise for a better life, lived for the chance in life that would take him out of the dire horrid circumstances he was forced to live. Buster had been born in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois in early March 1970 to gang affiliated parents who once upon time doted on every step Buster made to becoming the parents who could not care whether or not he lived or died after they had fallen on hard times after his father's incarceration for almost beating his mother to death. He was forced to suffer and endure things that a young child should never have had to be involved with after his father's return from his 1 year tenure. To the young Buster, life was no great or perfect as it had once been nor was it exactly a hell that many others had seen it as. He knew no other life and knew no life better than this that he had become accustomed to; It was normalcy the life he had been bred and reared into. Values of right and wrong that once been installed deeply throughout his parents, principalities that he knew were thrown out of the window in favour for the chosen volatile relationship his parents chose to express through violence and sinister influence which had been the answer and response to everything in their home. Living there Buster sought refuge in the music when things began to get seriously bad that he felt he needed an escape. Often playing the old piano in his bedroom left to him by his beloved sweet grandmother who gifted it to him after discussing with him on the telephone about how much he desired to learn to play it. She urged him to practice everyday knowing the atrocities that were occurring around him and hoped that putting all his energy, focus and time into learning and practicing it would somehow give him the options to take himself out of the hell on earth forcefully thrust upon him. Resorting to music as his sanctuary, he often enjoyed the hypnotic peaceful trance the heavenly voice of Marvin Gaye soothing through the room, the sweet harmonic sound of The Jackson 5 later transitioning to the Jacksons. He found it remarkable and admirable at how young Michael Jackson at the young age of 14 years old could have funded his own record label, LEGACY RECORDS alongside his best friend Josh Parker and major investors such as Berry Gordy and black Swedish billionaire Max Ulysses Bruster whilst having to obtain his active music career with so much criticism from the media, his own family and rival labels. Nevertheless did he prosper but also manage to create a sound that his label could author.
As everyone who suffers at the hands of abuse and neglect, Buster's last straw was reached at 9 years old when he was struck so hard for complaining about an ear infection, the next day his hearing had vanished. No longer safe than the little he had been before, his paternal grandmother had fought hard for him to be in her care in Sacramento, California and far from his hell bound parents . With her and his other relatives around him, Buster could have the chance to grow, evolve and develop as every child should do so of course with now suffering from deafness, the poor boy would need as much special attention as possible. Big Momma seen to it that he and the family learned sign language when it was finally known to her that he were deaf. Big Momma made a promise that she would be the one to steer Buster onto a right path even if it killed her.
