I suck at comforting people. The Academy didn't tell us anything about how to reassure someone. Hell, they don't even tell us how to control our emotions. That's probably why a lot of Coders lose their ways and turn into Hackers...
"How did you know my name?"
"I read all of your information when I was searching for you, Shishiro Botan, a professional secret agent who works for GUILD, Global Union of Intelligence and Location Defenders, an organization financed by the UN who were tasked to keep the world safe from any dangers. Also Reika Eru's partner. I'm about to add more but I think I might compromise your privacy so I didn't read all of it."
She became silent again before I heard her sobbing. She really loved Eru like her real younger brother.
"I'm glad he's fine. Meeting a god is the luckiest thing a person would have," she uttered.
If she only knew that Jun literally used her partner as his meatshield, she might rephrase those words.
Hold on a second. How did I forget that feature?!
Oh well, time to give Botan an upgrade now. Although I still have doubts if I should do it or not since we can only do it to one person at a time and using it on another automatically cancels the other.
"Hey, uhm. I'm gonna install a Patch inside you just to help you in your missions. But first, is it okay for me to call you Botan? Tell me if you're weirded out by me."
"If you introduced yourself, I might consider that."
"I'm Fujiwara Seijuro, 13th Coder of a well-known group of Avasts called 13th Project. Assigned as a substitute Moderator of Mithra's Server, where you live at. Happy to work with you, Botan," I reached out my hand for a handshake.
Okay... I was already talking about Hackers and Avasts and I forgot that y'all didn't know about them yet.
If you didn't know, there are actually 5 types of Coders, namely Administrators, Moderators, Fledglings, Hackers, and Avasts.
Hackers were Coders who violated the rules and their responsibilities in which they decided to wreak havoc on the CyNet, while Avasts were Coders who were intensively trained to fight against Hackers and were much more advanced compared to other Coders. The existence of Hackers and Avasts was so heavily confidential that even the Coders with the title of 1412 were just as oblivious as the others, only knowing what the Academy had told them that there were only 3 types of Coders.
"Happy to work with you too, Sei-chan," She accepted the handshake, but before I realized what she had said.
Wait, Sei? No one had called me Sei in my entire existence.
"What's wrong? You didn't like that nickname? Then, I'll just call you-"
"No. Sei-chan is fine. You're older than me in terms of physical appearance, right?" At least she's not calling me Seijuro-sama.
"That's great," Her radiant smile caught me off guard from what I was supposed to do at this point.
"Uhm... Hold on a sec, Imma gonna make a quick call, okay?" With a nod as her response, I stood and rushed towards the restroom.
When the door was closed, A blue screen appeared in front of me, showing the name of my colleague in the contact. With a tap on the screen, it dialed my good friend, another Avast who's working as a Moderator in another server
Another screen appeared, revealing his face, which was terribly horrible. His eyes were droopy and his face was pale from tiredness.
"Why the long face?" I smirked at him. He's the 12th Coder of 13th Project, Keith Schwarz, one of the geniuses in our team. Unfortunately, he was assigned to one of the worst Servers in the CyNet since they believed his intellect would fix the Server, but his brain power wasn't enough to deal with it.
