Chapter 4: "You play?"

"Looks like no body's home-" -+-I said, pointing out the obvious.-+-

"Hey guys, I think I found something-" -+-Max called to the rest of us, she was pointing her flashlight at some old shack.-+-

"Im definitely going in first-" -+-I said running towards the shack, with a worried Steve trailing not to far behind. Everyone went into the shack and Steve grabbed an oar, Dustin noticed a bunch of empty candy rappers and pointed them out.-+-

"Gonna hit em' with an oar Stevey boy? -+-I joked, Steve rolled his eyes and started poking at the boat in the middle of the shack. Him and Dustin started bickering and suddenly something jumped out of the boat, Eddie had Steve pinned against a wall with a broken glass bottle held to his neck.-+-

"Woaah! Eddie it's okay, we're on your side. Swear on my mother, put the bottle down." -+-Dustin said swearing on his mother like it was nothing, everyone including me swore on his mother and Eddie eventually let Steve go..-+-

-+-I walked over to Eddie who was now sitting down on the floor with a broken bottle to his side, and crouched down infront of him, he had the same face as the night I saw him running from the trailer park. I reached out to touch his hand and he flinched away, I sighed and sat down Infront of him and just waited. He eventually made eye contact with me, furrowed brows and a face that had confusion written into it.-+-

"Why are you here...? Is it cause you saw me running away last night-" -+-He questioned me, I shook my head.-+-

"Well no...but yes.. listen I was worried man, I wish I threw you into my car when I had the chance.." -+-I admitted, his face was tinted slightly red.-+-

"Wow you? Worried about a nobody like me?" -+-He joked, tilting his head in obvious disbelief.-+-

"To be honest we're both no body's, but listen man...we just need to know what you saw, we'll believe whatever you tell us cause... we've all been through some unbelievable shit man." -+-He glanced at the ground then back up at me.-+-

".. Alright, sure...but you better not be bullshiting me man-"

"Ill stay here with Eddie...but I wanna grab my damn guitar" -+-I said walking out of the shed, Steve tossed me his keys and I walked to his car and got in, starting the engine. I drove home and grabbed my guitar and pick, I changed into ripped jeans, band tee, and a denim jacket. I quickly rushed out of the house and locked the door and got into Steve's car, heading back to the shed.-+-

-+-Eventually I got to the barn and gave Steve his keys back, everyone except me and Eddie left. The barn was filled with awkward silence, I plucked at the strings of my guitar attempting to play 'Cherry Bomb' on it, I hadn't played in ages so I was rusty. Eddie just watched as I slowly started to remember how to play the song and started to actually play it a bit. I looked up at the boy who hadn't bothered to hide his admiration.-+-

"You play Dungeon Master?" -+-Eddie smirked at the nickname and nodded.-+-

"You're quick to remember how to play... remember any songs your band played?" -+-He asked tilting his head, I smiled and began to play a few cords, slowly drifting into a song but stopping half way cause I had forgotten the rest of the cords.-+-

"Well at least I tried-" -+-I joked shrugging my shoulders, I set down the guitar and sighed. The room was filled with silence once again, Eddie was sat in the boat and I was just sitting on the floor.-+-

"So when you say you've been through some 'unbelievable shit'...what have you been through, if you're fine with me asking-" -+-Eddie asked getting out of the boat and sitting next to me.-+-

"Well...I don't know if I can tell you what has happened without sobbing like a manic but uh...I'm not okay man... Russian spies, watching my friend die in my arms. Crazy shit...crazy shit man-" -+-I kept a smile on my face, although the atmosphere in the room was anything but happy.-+-
