I had to write an elegy for English, so I wrote it about Mitch Lucker. I thought it was worth sharing. c: I hope you enjoy <3
Mitch was like a war hero to me
and to his daughter, Kenadee.
As days past, more people mourn
Over he, who is adored.
Mitch had his own way of perfection,
He didn’t let other people change his direction.
As the war leads on, he followed through,
passing through the bombs that flew.
Finally, the flag he waited so long to see,
was still flying high and free.
Then there was Kenadee,
his angel, his life, his perfect little girl.
She never thought she would have to have a world
where her father wasn’t there to sing her to sleep
Now she just lays there, counting the sheep.
Mitch always sang to her, told her to be strong.
She only wishes he was there, so she could sing along.
As days go by, Mitch is missed more and more.
Jolie, his wife, half-expects him to walk through the door.
Kenadee cries for him, wishing he would come home
They don’t seem to realized vulnerability is prone
Mitch will be missed, this is true
By many more people, his family too
He was a hero, a savior, a saint.
Sadly, November 1st was the day he were too faint.
Mitch is loved, even though he had his faults,
The faults will be forgiven, erased from their thoughts
