Rain drops

I remember a lot of those in my childhood

Long trips to a reletive's house
They'd race down the window
Cover the windshield
The smell refreshing my lungs

Mom and dad
Fighting downstairs
Sound of the rain drops
The only thing there to comfort me

Covering the pavement
We'd ride our bikes up and down the sidewalk
Covered in rain we'd return home
Drops of water covering the floor as we run across it

Rain hitting the roof as I lay on the couch
Lightning lighting up the room
Thunder sounding, off in the distance
The storms always passed

Rain drops
Covering my face
As I lay in the road
But tear drops join the rain drops this time
