conditioned .. stone cold
hardened .. giving precious time
few sane .. ponder selves
lined up .. life's demands
must take care of me .. me .. me
it's a full-time job
sane few .. still ponder
what to do .. what can be done
to right sad life's wrongs
slaving days .. nights .. days
barely time to breathe .. thinking
few sane .. all insane
it seems contagious
nowhere to run .. nor to hide
give in .. give it up
