Hi! This is a new fan fiction book I'm writing, Mericcup is the name for the couple, Merida and Hiccup. All of this book is in Merida's point of view, I hope that you like my book!

7:00 a.m

A bright red alarm clock.

Ring ring.

I spring up in my bed, it's time, and it's scary. I have been on various spy missions before, but this, this is a new and a scary mission, school.

I yawn and slouch out of bed, stretch my arms, legs, wiggle my toes.

I look around my zebra printed room, I will have to get used to this place. I miss my old house, but I had to move, because of the mission. I'm not sure if I can tell you what it is, it's a classified and secret mission, so I won't tell you, not yet.

I am a spy, but I'm also a teenager, and it's not just missions I think about. There's things like cute boys, friends, but I call these things teenage missions. And all the spy stuff is, well, spy stuff.

I'm starting a new school, Wonder High, and I need to get ready for the day. My bag is packed and my clothes are layed out on the zebra print chair. My red trainers are sitting on the sandy carpet downstairs.

I pick up my clothes from the chair and walk into my dressing room, slam the door shut and transform my white, fluffy sheep onesie into a red and blue striped T-shirt and blue jeans. I open the door and walk over to the full length mirror, my reflection stares at me and I stare too.

"I can do this, Gleam"

Gleam is my spy name, and also the name of my imaginary friend that I talk to in the mirror.

I can do this.

"Woohoo!" I shout, then I look around to check that no one was listening to my woohoo of encouragement.

Hopping down the stairs, I whistle a song and my mum walks over to me with a big grin on her face.

"Hi Merida! Good morning, how are you? It's a big day!"

"I'm alright I guess, but scared" I reply, staring at my feet that are now on the sandy carpet of downstairs.

My mum pulls me into a big hug and I sigh into her long, brown, flowing hair.

"I'm gonna miss Elsa and Anna"

She pulls away and stares into my sad eyes.

"Oh it's alright, they'll write to you, and we can visit them some time, but this mission is important Merida"

"I know, but, they were like why? and I wasn't allowed to tell them"

My mum sighs and the microwave shouts at us.

"Oh, there's your porridge, and it's your favourite, blueberry"

"mmmm" I hum in delight, blueberries, my favourite.

I sit down on the wooden chair and my mum brings the steaming bowl of yumminess to me. Picking up a purple spoon, I gobble up the porridge quickly and sit back in my chair, gazing at the blue wall of pictures.

"Are you ready darling? It's time for school."

I stare at my mum worriedly and I walk over to my red trainers.

woo, I can do this. There's an invisible ink pen in my jean's pocket, just in case I need to write something secret down that no one is allowed to see.
Swinging open the door, I close my eyes and breathe in the Summer air, grass, flowers, the birds are tweeting and a butterfly rests on my shoulder.
"Hi little butterfly, how are you?" I say as I open my eyes and gaze at the elegant creature.
I stroke its beautiful wings and it flutters away. I wonder what it would be like to ride a giant butterfly, imagine that! I like to imagine things like that, like magical things, mystical things.
