It probably hadn't been the best plan.
Georgetown was amazing, but it hadn't come cheap.

Waitressing wasn't as easy as it seemed and everyone wanted a part time job. 4 unsuccessful trials and Elisia still hadn't managed to find work, but had managed to break multiple plates and anger more than one restaurant manager.

She realised she'd been naive to think that she could live on her scholarship alone. Now she'd been in Washington a few weeks she only had a couple hundred dollars to her name left, no job and school starting within a week she was panicking.

Elisia checked her computer screen again, she'd read the same adverts for the past few days, nothing new. She took a deep breath and steeled herself, it was time for the last resort option. She'd worked as a nanny before, first by babysitting younger family members as a teen, then part time while studying childcare at home in the UK until she was fully qualified, she'd nannied for a family exclusively for a year before it all went wrong.

Handsy husband's and jealous mums had just been a spring board to better things, Elisia had studied in her free time to get here, she'd worked hard, got her scholarship and now was meant to be reaping her reward and gaining the education she deserved.

Obviously life had other things in mind for her, so with a sigh she called a number that she'd been keeping safe but hidden since arriving in Washington.

'Good Morning, Clovershaw nanny service, providing high quality child care for over 20 years, how may I be of assistance?' The voiced on the line chimed

'I was given your number by a friend, she said you might have some work for me?' Elisia replied, thinking of the waitress she'd shadowed her first week in Washington before being rejected for that job.

'Ahh is it Elisia? Was it Jane my daughter who gave you the number? She said you were highly qualified and had worked full time as a nanny internationally'. The woman on the line seemed intrigued.
Elisia gave her a run through of her experience and qualifications and before she knew it she was stood in the Clovershaw office signing a contract and handing over her qualifications and ID.

Despite the nagging feeling in her mind that she was doing the wrong thing she had to go through with it, a few babysitting jobs would be fine, it wouldn't be like before. She needed the money if she wanted the education.
