Jake nods. "You sure I'm only getting an invite from your mom though? I'm sure you missed me last week." Jake begins to tease. Eyebrows raised in amusement. Devon rolls his eyes playfully before looking back to his boyfriend.

Devon and his mom went to visit his aunt Ciara last week for a quote on quote "family emergency." The entire table knew it was because they guilt tripped Kim into finally taking a break from work. A week was the most they could get her to agree on. She didn't want to leave Devon with a friend and his aunt missed him. So he left.

"Nope. I was actually trying to convince my mom to take another week off so that I could also take a break from you and your stupid curls and smile." He replies. Jake nods along with a hum.

"Right. If that's the case I won't come over. I'll actually avoid you this whole week. You know to give you your well deserved break from me." He teases Devon back as they smile at each other.

Jake then begins to unwrap his arms from Devon only for him to hastily grab his arms and sets them around his waist. Holding them in place with his own arms and leans back into his touch, yet again. "Thought you didn't miss me." Jake says.

"This is purely only happening due to your overwhelming need and want to always be around me. As I know I am perfect, I can't blame you and will therefore encourage you." Devon responds with both a smug grin and tone.

"Please stop flirting with my cousin at the lunch table. I have fries to eat and enjoy them more when I eat them peacefully and not seconds away from barfing." Junior speaks up, ruining their moment. They glare at him before turning back to each other and smiling.

"He's jealous we're perfectly in love with witty banter." Jake says to Devon as he nods in agreement. "No I'm not." Junior says. "Yes he is." Oliver joins in. "Can everyone shut up about Jevon and help me plan our weekly weekend hangout?" I interrupt. "Jevon?" Oliver and Devon ask while Junior and Jake ignore that part and start helping me with fast nods, quickly sensing my growing annoyance.

Devon's pov

"Now you add the one on top, it's important you can't forget it, think of it as your favorite toy meaning you have to make sure you always carry it." Jake says to Caroline as I watch him help her with her math homework. Her teacher apparently wasn't teaching her in a way that was helpful to her so he was trying to. Apparently it was working so far.

"Devon!" I hear Oliver yell from where he was standing with Lexy and Junior on the other side of the kitchen. When I make eye contact with him he motions me toward them and I only slightly hesitate before going. "What's up?" I ask as I make my way to them.

"Why have you and Jake been losing everything and having it magically pop up?" Junior asks, completely disregarding my greeting causing me to furrow my brows in confusion. "What do you mean?" I never lose things I'm too organized. Jake however...well we were working on it.

"You said you didn't have your gym clothes in your locker and then a class later you were wearing said gym clothes." Junior said. I didn't see the problem. I repeated that to them. They gave me a look of question before Lexy started talking.

"Jake said he didn't have his phone when we were skipping and then at lunch unless i'm suddenly paranoid he had it in his hand right before you two began nauseating everyone with your flirting." I nodded my head surely.

"Yeah okay...still not sure what you mean by disappearing though. I didn't lose my gym clothes they were in my other locker." I simply stated and they yet again looked confused. "What other locker?" Oliver asked as Junior backed him up with a "yeah what other locker do you have."

"The school gives extra lockers?" Lexy asks. I shake my head. "Jake's locker. We're sharing lockers. We have some of each other's stuff in the other's locker because certain lockers are closer to certain classes. It makes it easier to not carry everything at the same time and not be on the far end of school when going to a certain class." I explain and end it off with a shrug.

The look on their faces explained that they were finally getting what I was saying. "Oh." Junior said. "Ooo Junior you should share a locker with Lexy. Then I can have the empty one of whoever moves into the other one." Oliver says with a smile. Lexy gives a firm shake of the head simply stating "no."

I shake my head while I mumble to myself. "I'm going back to my boyfriend." I turn away from them towards the fridge and grab a tea before heading back to Jake and smiling to myself at the sight of Caroline high-fiving him after getting a question right.
