Fluff |‹Yours or Mine?›

Start from the beginning

"We're in school. I don't need my phone during  school." He says pointedly. "Whatever. Caroline says that she has a surprise for you and I promised not to tell you what it is so you have to come see it later." I say. "Aww, she made me something." He coos.

"That's not exactly what I said. You'd know if you listened correctly. Or had your phone." I sneer at him. "Whatever. You're addicted to screens Lex, you need help." He tells me before standing up and grabbing his school supplies. I shrug, it's true.

He wasn't much different from me now that he was in our friend group. He was ways on the phone now that he had people to talk to. A lot of it was because I was always blowing up the group chat but he was just as addicted as I was. Maybe I rubbed off on him.

It was still weird he didn't have his phone. He probably lost it. He loses literally everything besides his jewelry, art pieces, or things from Devon. I shrug before looking back up at him.

We do this thing at school where we meet up at a old abandoned classroom used for storage during third period and we waste time away from class. We either gossip, tell secrets, aimlessly talk or make weekend plans for our friend group.

Once in a while I convinced him to smoke some week with me but we switched to edibles after almost getting caught. Like I said it was only once in a while when we needed a rant but couldn't find the words to say what we feel. So we let  go.

"What time should I be over your house?" He asks as he makes his way to exit the room. "Anytime before dinner." I reply. He knew dinner meant 6, he had dinner with us from time to time. Half of the time because of me and the other half for his real favorite Cross sister.

"Okay, love you." He says before throwing me a peace sign as he leaves. I take note of the way he goes left instead of right, the way to his current class. "Love ya!" I reply before getting up and picking up my purse before getting my own class supplies. "Time to get back to hell." I mutter to myself.

I fucking hate science class.

Still Lexy's pov

I walked into the lunch room with my bubblegum pink and baby blue lunch bag in my right hand with my lilac purple water bottle in my left hand. I walk to my resident lunch table where I saw Jake, Junior, and Oliver.

Oliver and Junior were talking about something animatedly and Jake was looking in his lap. As I got closer I passed Jake to sit next to the open seat next to Oliver and see him typing away on his phone. This raises my eyebrow.

Didn't this fucker lose it earlier? How the hell did he find it so quick? It usually takes him three to four days. As I sit down I place my things on the table and greet my friends before turning to Jake.

"Jake." I call out to him and have him raise his head to meet my gaze. I motion my head towards his phone, "you found it that quick?" I ask. I see  confusion cover his face as I speak.

"Find what?" He asks. I mentally facepalm before answering. "Your phone. You lost it earlier." I reply.
"I didn't lose it. Just didn't have it on me at the moment." He says. Before I can speak again our last friend makes his way to the table and sits next to Jake.

As soon as he sits he greets Jake with a kiss and smile before turning to me and the guys. "Hey guys." He says as Jake puts his phone in his back pocket and pulls Devon into his arms and rests them there. Devon simply leans into the touch.

"You coming over later? Mom's been harassing me about inviting you to dinner again. Said she wanted to make you that dish you told her about, the one your mom used to make for you." Devon asks Jake, looking up at him to make eye contact.
