"Hawa ki tarah aata hai aur toofan ki tarah chala jata hai. Pata nhi kis baat ki itni hadbadi rehti hai is Bihari ko bhi." Aniruddha muttered, shaking his head.
"Kaka sasurji ka darr kehte hai ise Aniruddha babu, darr!" Bondita replied exaggeratingly, widening her eyes, with her fingers splayed in front of his face.
She giggled seeing him taken aback.
"Chaliye neeche chaliye, varna fir se kaka sasur ji hum me sau kamiya nikalne lagenge. Itni kamiya toh hamari mami ne bhi kabhi hum me nhi nikali. Chalo koi to hai jo hamari mami ko maat de sakta hai." She said adjusting her pallu.
Listening to her, he couldn't stop the mirth. Kaka definitely got home one piece of a bahu. However her family convinced Kaka for the marriage is beyond his understanding.
Scoffing softly, he accompanied her downstairs. Whatever it was with Kaka and his early morning rituals.

"Bondita 7 logo ke liye halwa banega. Toh ek kaam karte hai 10-12 logo jitna bana lete hai, ki koi fir se lena chahe toh kisi ko kam na pade." Aradhya said.
"Aap bhi banayengi baudi? Par pehli rasoi toh meri hai na?" Bondita asked confused.
"Haha haan baba pehli rasoi toh tumhari hi hai, par mai madad to kar sakti hu na. 10-12 logo ke liye khana banana asaan thodi hota hai." She said patting Bondita's head.
"Aap kaise roz bana leti hai lekin? Vo bhi teen teen baar! Baapre sochke hi lagta hai kitna kathin hoga. Accha hai Aniruddha babu chote bhai hai varna meri to jaan hi chali jaati." She said dramatically.
"Aniruddha babu hmm? Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary the vo toh kal tak. Ek hi raat me itna badlav. Waah!" She said teasingly.
"Baudiiiiii" Bondita whined, covering her face.
"Acha acha nhi chedti. Par chalo ab kaam pe lago. Sabko bhook lagi hogi. Aur Koeli tum naashte ki tayari shuru kar do, mai thode der me madad karti hu." Aradhya allotted the work.
One could actually feel the Badi bahu vibe from her. She had some control and authority. And Bondita was all set to be on her good side. Tucking in her pallu, she got started with the preparations.

After few hours of complete clutter and order, if that even makes any sense, the delicious morning spread was ready. Bondita's halwa was looking delicious, if she may herself pass the verdict that is. It was smelling heavenly, no denying in that. Everything was done and she just had to first give it to her Dugga maa as bhog and then make everyone taste it and then she could finally fill her stomach that has been growling for some time now.
After giving the bhog, Bondita happily arranged the sweet bowls on a tray and brought it to the dining table.
"Ye lijiye kaka sasur ji, sabse pehle aap swaad leke bataiye ki kaisa bana hai." She said putting the bowl in front of him.
"Arre bahu pehle nashta kar lete hai fir swaad lenge. Meethe ka anand aakhri me." He replied smiling.
"Accha, ye bhi theek hai. Chaliye pehle nashta kar lete hai fir." She said taking the bowl back and passing the tray to Koeli.
She went around and sat next to Aniruddha's chair.
"Bahu? Kya kar rhi ho?" Trilochan asked incredulously.
