'Every day felt the same: School, alert, stupid banter, victory, clean, repeat. Living life as if it was a 3D person game on replay. Pointless. Endless. What's the point of superheroes if they can't stop the same villain from committing the same crime? Where running a race and not even leaving the starting line.'

"Gold?" Jerking from my thoughts. The wrinkly teacher tapped her waist. "Do you mind answering the question?"

Everyone's stares pierced my soul, "Care to repeat?" Detached. Monotone. Students' chuckles echoed throughout the room. Scanning the tides of muffled giggles, ceasing on Danny before reverting to the teacher as she sighed heavily.

"Please tell me why Shakespeare wrote this line." Smacking the bored harshly. Hunching. The words began to blur into something untranslatable.

Huffing, falling to the rear of my chair, "Don't know, I can't exactly ask him." I felt Sam smile widely beside me. "I mean, what is the point of this? You don't know why he wrote it either. So why ask questions you don't know the answer to, and expect us to know better than you?" Having a half-respectful tone.

She was dumbfounded. Sam nudged me, "Finally, someone said the thing everyone was thinking." He wasn't loud, but the kids in front and behind us could hear.

Grinning warmly, I peek at Danny, and my smile fades. I duck away again, faint of breath. Felt as though someone had built a cage around my heart. An enclosure that held back the beast that desires to be free. The beast felt stronger after Danny rejected me.

Something inside me desired to destroy everything. It wasn't me. I create. Save people, not the other way around.

Breeze in my hair. Nova by my side. No Iron fist in the vicinity. Pigeon's fleeing away in fear. The only thing that settled the beast was to ignore the deep pain it caused me. I was okay with that.

"Rare day, is it?" Nova hummed. "No villains to fight, though I was looking forward to showing them my cool new move." He spun, chuckling.

I grin, monitoring him, "Day's not over yet." Soft. Comfortable.

"I hope so," He faced me, back towards the streets and citizens. "These kinds of days only happen every blue moon." We laughed. Felt like the world only focused on the two of us.

Nova was the only one I allowed to help me. It personally shocked me. He was the only one not giving advice. He was just there, listening to everything I had to say. Visversa.

'There's nothing more I could ask for but the feeling of love.'
