"Today you will be having a quiz about yourself" The teacher Said, the word yourself made me shiver. I was trying to know who I am and all the questions were way too personal.
I glanced at somebody else's laptop while seeing how they answered every question with such ease ,why couldn't I do that?.
I always change my decision every day especially my name I switched from Sam to Samantha or Samuel or something else.
"Just focus" were the words that kept on repeating in my head. "Times up" The teacher shouted without any care. I panicked I hadn't even finished the quiz. it seemed so easy
"Samantha" Mr Solomon said with a bit of anger in his voice, every girl loved this man for some reason and I over heard them saying their dreams about him
"Yes" I answered with fear in my voice
"You have not finished the quiz, is there a reason for that"
"Uh I um was uh I don't know who I am" I blurted out, the whole class laid their eyes on me,
"Wait really" one random kid said while others snickered. "Idiot" I muttered, bell "Class dismissed" Mr Solomon announced. and we all went to line up for lunch, at least that could cheer me up I thought, it was lasagna my favourite.
I sat down on a table where my 2 friends came to me. "Hey girl" Amy said with such cheer in every word, how could she be so flipping happy?
"Hey Sam" Dina sighed, Me and Dina had the same problem about ourselves we didn't know who we were. Amy on the other hand has known herself since 3 and has always being that pink loving makeup girl who wasn't very popular.
Dina's actual name was Madelyn and she hated it because she was named after her mother. And Dina thought she was just a label and her parents didn't care about her. But really they named her that because she came out exactly like her Mum.
"Did you do the quiz" I asked to them both. "It's was amazeballs and I got to use a really cool laptop cos I came into school late" Amy said while smiling. Somehow Amy could get out of not wearing incorrect uniform she'd wear white leggings with polka dots and a brown tie instead of a blue tie.
"It sucked, Dina said with no emotion she was about to continue when they were rudely intrupted by a random kid
"Hey did ya know that Sam Didn't finish the quiz cos they did not know themselves" he smirked, at least everyone at this school respected pronouns.
"Ugh" I groaned and me Amy and Dina began talking again
