A descendant of Morrigan, the famous animagus whose form was a black crow.
A descendant of Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts.
Family of Voldemort, who, at this time, was not known to the world, as he was not yet born.
Isolt Sayre never had the chance to go to Hogwarts.
So, she created her own.
Far higher than the city below, a bird soared above the clouds. That was all she did, really, other than creating storms and clouds of her own. Occasionally she saw other birds who were like her, but she never spoke to them.
No one could discover her secret.
Suddenly, another sound presented itself in the stratosphere, a crow cawing loudly.
She wheeled around, turning to face the crow, and she knew the crow was like her. Not alike in species, but alike in ability and prowess in, well, she never thought about that.
"Hello, Thunderbird," said the crow in the language of birds, "I never knew Thunderbirds had the ability to transform. But I knew when I saw you that you are the same,"
"So did I," she replied, "I knew you could,"
"Well then," said the crow, "We should work together,"
"To do what?" she queried.
"We need to destroy the Everbeast,"
She had heard stories of the Everbeast, transporting things through time and taking energy from those things.
"But how do we destroy it?"
"No idea," said the crow, "That's why I need to work with you,"
"I thought you thought Thunderbirds were...", she paused, not wanting to critique her own race.
"I thought Thunderbirds didn't have a lot going on upstairs," interrupted the crow, "But you must be smarter than them, to have figured it out,"
"Okay, I'll work with you," she said, and held out one wing, "Deal,"
"Deal," replied the crow.
The clouds began to part.
"Are you making that happen?" asked the crow.
"No," she said cautiously.
Then, almost instantaneously, a winged creature, bigger than any bird, came up through the split in the clouds and she was grabbed in its talons.
The last thing she heard was the crow calling, "It has found us! The Everbeast has found us!"
She fell through time, down, down, down, spiralling through the void. She saw a city below her, and with her last effort, she transformed. That, at least, should keep her safe in the human world.
"Hopefully a wizard family finds me," she whispered.
Then, she hit the ground, and everything went black.
