COME, BURN WITH ME!

11. TAKE MY HAND~

Next morning, ks knocked the door of HM's room. Hm replied, "aa jaiye!"

Ks entered in and silently stood near the door maybe waiting for hm to give permission from front to speak. Here HM's mood was already irritated because of her own decision that she took last night.

Hm asked in an irked tone, " Kya baat h ks? Subha subha aap yaha hamare kamre mein kyu aai h? Aur aai bhi h to aise darwaze ke paas murti ban kr kyu khadi h? Wajah bataiye apne aane ka!!"

Ks was now habituated to this mood swings kinda behavior of hm so ignoring her tone she calmly replied or more sort of asked, "Aap kal raat hamare kamre mein aai thi? Maaf kariyega dawai ki wajah se hame neend aagai thi, koi kaam tha kya aapko?"

Hm for a sec was zoned out but before ks could notice that hm immediately responded, " aa... ha... aaye the ham aapke kamre mein, wo ham neeche paani lene gaye the to aapke kamre se light aarhi thi, to hamne upar jaane se pahle check kr liya ki aapko kisi cheez ki jaroorat to nhi h na... par aap..ko kaise pata chala ki ham aaye the aapke room mein?"

Ks not at all wanted hm to ask this question but hm being hm was used to do the things that people around her least wished for.

Ks regretfully replied, " w..wo... ham jab subha uthe to hamne dekha ki Aabid ki photo side mein table pe rkhi h..."
"...usi se hamne anuman lagaya kyuki...."

Hm interrupted overlooking what ks just said and continued, " ks, aaj hame thane mein naya case reopen krna h isiliye hame abhi hi nikalna hoga... aap please cab se aajayega, hamne book kr diya h!"

Ks opened her mouth to speak something, " par hase...." but hm immediately left the room while ks was still standing there looking at fading figure of hm.

After that ks murmured under her breath, " naya case reopen krna h...kaun sa case!!"

IN DSP's OFFICE

Hm(saluted)- jai hind sir!

Dsp(said)- aaiye hm, ham aapka hi intezaar kr rhe the, bataiye kya jaroori baat krni thi aapko?

Hm(forwarded the case file to him and requested)- sir ye SHO AABID MALIK ki case file h, unke postmartum report mein likha h ki unke jannat nashin hone se 3 ghnte pahle unhe ek slow poison diya gaya tha, jiske wajah se unki jaan gayi h. Is zeher ka asar 17-18 ghnte baad hota h aur ye body mein is tarah dissolve ho jaata h ki trace krna almost impossible h. Wo to Aabid band kamre mein gaye the aur khuli hawa na milne ki wajah se iska asar tez hogaya aur unki jaan waqt se pahle chali gayi aur ye zeher postmartum mein trace ho paya h! (paused)

(Took a deep breath and then cont.) Isiliye sir ham Sho Aabid Malik ki case file reopen krke unhe unke hisse ka nayay dilwana chahte h. Sir, unhone department ke liye bahut kiya h aur hame lagta h ki department ko is case ko reopen krke unhe unke haq ki justice deni chahiye.

Dsp sighed heavily after listening to hm and then took the file and opened it and signed it with stamp signifying that hm was officially working on this case.

A wide smiled appeared on HM's face as she got a ray of hope after these months of gloominess.

Dsp too smiled and supportively said, " aap investigate kariye is case ki hm, department aur ham h aapke saath, Aabid ke saath jo nainsafi hui h uske badle use insaaf jaroor milega!"

Hm requested again, "sir, ek aur request thi, ye case reopen kiya h hamne ye baat please mahila thane ke staffs ko agar aap na bataye to bahut madad hogi hamari... ham nhi chahte ki kisi bhi tarah se ye baat thane ke bahar jaye ki ye case pe investigation chal rhi h aur wo qatil satark ho jaye. Ham umeed krte h aap samajh rhe h hamari baat ko."

Dsp gave a thought to what hm just said and then he agreed saying, " theek h miss Malik, jaisa aapko theek lage, aapka case h aap samjhe kaise solve krna h, hame to bas case solve hone se mtb. Ham kisi ko nhi batayenge mahila thane se, aap befikar hokr jaiye....all the best!"

Hm took the file back and saluted and then left from there.

Hm(was driving back to mpt while the file was on her adjoining seat and while taking glimpse of it and slightly smiling she was thinking )- dps sir ko to bol diya hamne ki kisi se na bataye is case ke baare mein par hamne khud hi subha nikalne se pahle is case ke prime suspect ko bata diya h ki ham koi case reopen krne jaa rhe h aur SI ks itni to akalmand h ki ye samajh jaye ham kis case ki baat kr rhe h. 😂

Khair ab unse do cheeze chupani h hame, pahli Aabid se related koi bhi baat ka zikr hone dene se rokna kyuki khuda jaane ajeeb si awkwardness aajati h hamare beech aur dusri sabse jaroori, unke saath 24 ghnte rhte hue bhi unki nazron se bach kr is case pr kaam krna aur solve bhi krna.
(Thinking of these tasks she sighed heavily as she knew this was going to be all blood, sweat and tears.)

Upon reaching mpt hm spotted that ks  was sitting with others but she was some sort of distracted and lost. But as soon as she saw her coming out of car all her attention was diverted towards her not without a smile, a smile that was genuine.

She ignored them all and left from there but before going she noticed how KS's face saddened due to her negligence. Hm too felt something inside her but hm being hm again, ignored that too.

After getting into her cabin first thing that hm did was to hide that file and as soon as she was done doing so, all the mpt members reached on her back.

Hm nearly got startled by their presence in the cabin all of the sudden. But she calmed herself and asked," Kya hua aap sab ek saath yaha?"

Pj replied, " ha ms, km ne bataya tha ki aap unse pahle ghar se nikal gayi thi par itni late se thane aai h, santu ne call bhi kiya tha aapko par aapne jawab nhi diya, isiliye bas fikar hogai thi aapki...to wahi ham puchne aaye h ki sab theek to h na!?"

Hm understood their care and sweetly replied, " nhi pj, wo ham head quarters gaye the, dsp sir ke saath meeting thi aur isiliye phone bhi silent pe tha jise ham on krna bhool gaye"

Hearing this ks asked, " usi closed case se related meeting thi ka ms jiske baare mein aapne ghar pe nikalne se pahle bataya tha?"

Hm at that moment mentally slapped herself and bgm played aaye lagi... lagi... lag gayi... 🤣🤣🤣 particularly for hm!

Hm (in mind)- bas hogaya, jo nhi hona tha wahi sabse pahle hogaya... bas kisi tarah ye case solve ho jaye to bahut meherbani hogi!

Pj(asked breaking HM's trance)- ms kya hua? Kaha kho gayi aap?

Hm(coming out of her trance said)- kuch nhi pj, ha ham usi silsile mein gaye the par dsp sir ne hamari arzi kharij kr di aur filhal koi case reopen nhi hua h.

(Cont) ha par ham phir dsp sir ke paas jayenge request lekr... dekhte h kya hota h! ( hm said this intentionally, clearing all the remaining suspicions in KS's mind about this case)

Beherhaal ye sab choriye, thane mein koi naya case aaya h kya jab ham maujood nhi the tab?

Santu(replied)- nhi ms, abhi tak to koi case nhi aaya h.

Hm(nodded and said)- theek h, to aap sab bhi jaiye aur kaam kijiye, kuch ho to bataiyega hame.

Everyone nodded and left the cabin.
