Internal Conflicts on the Full Moon (Part 1)

The scenery changed again. I saw flashes of my recurring dream. The beautiful forest and lively nature. Then the dark forest and all the dead plants and animals. I saw myself standing on the edge of an empty waterfall. I felt a push. I saw Yeonjun standing on the edge watching me fall into darkness. My eyes widened in realisation. It's him. Before hitting the ground, I saw the same girl from before standing behind Yeonjun, stabbing him over and over again. Blood trickled from his mouth and nose. I felt myself fall into water. What is going on? This isn't a part of my dream. I tried swimming upwards for air. Upon breaking the surface, I was soon pushed under again. "What are you doing here?" a demonic voice said. I tried to swim up, but the person kept holding me under. It was the same girl from before. "Stay out of it banshee" the demonic voice said before it let me go.

Once I broke the surface again my vision changed. Everything was blurry. I felt a tight grip on my neck. "Get him off!" Savannah yelled. My vision came back as the grip around my neck loosened. I gasped to catch my breath. Maya pulled me back and hugged me. I grabbed her arm in panic. I looked around me frantically. My eyes fell on Yeonjun. He was being held back by Taehyun and Beomgyu. He was looking at me with pure anger and disgust. "I'll kill him" Savannah picked up Maya's bat. "Hold on" Soobin blocked her. He pulled her into the kitchen. I held my neck in disbelief. Did he just try to kill me?

~The night of the full moon~

The day had come, and I was currently sitting in the living room drinking a cup of hot chocolate. I hadn't seen Yeonjun since the incident happened. I was told by the others to stay away from him. My presence seemed to only anger him more. Savannah and Maya were preparing for the night while the guys were taking shifts looking after Yeonjun. He was currently being held in one of the cellars in the catacombs. "You got everything?" Savannah asked Maya. Maya had gathered all sorts of herbs and magical objects. They were laid out on the table. Maya was taking a mental note of every item. "Yeah, that's everything" Savannah came over and began counting each object. I sighed before leaning back in the couch. "This is gonna be awful" I closed my eyes. Maya came over to me and sat down. She put a comforting hand on my knee. I opened my eyes again. Savannah gave me a sympathetic look. "I know" she sat in the chair next to me "It's gonna be bad for all of us but mostly you". I looked at her "I hate it". Savannah gave a subtle nod. "We'll have to, otherwise he'll become too strong" I knew we had to, I just hated the fact that it mostly affected me. We're planning on performing a moon-blocking spell. This way the moon won't be empowering Yeonjun. We heard some fast footsteps approaching us. "Guys, you need to do it now" Beomgyu came running to us "It has already begun". We all stood up immediately "Well then let's get this started".

Maya had made a circle of ash. The circle was a representative of the moon. We were in our basement. A little bit of light was coming through the hole in the ceiling. "You should be the one to do it" Savannah handed me the crushed quartz. I nodded. I grabbed the crushed quartz and prepared myself. My heart was racing. I focussed to relax my nerves. With one last breath, I began chanting underneath my breath. With slow and delicate moves, I filled in the circle with the crushed quartz. Once the circle was filled, Maya handed me a lighter and sage. I lit the sage and waved it around as I chanted in Latin "Convenite huc neomenia". I felt the energy of the moon. It was cool and calming. With one last chant, I lit the ash on fire. It sparked a blue and green colour as the ash and crushed quartz soon burned away, leaving only stains of it left. I opened my eyes again and I was immediately hit with the biggest headache. I stumbled backwards. "Woawoawoah" Beomgyu caught me. I closed my eyes tightly. This is gonna suck really bad. "You good?" Savannah grabbed my arms to help me stand properly. I opened my eyes slowly. My vision was blurry "Do you-". "Yeah, we feel it too" Savannah patted my shoulder "You're good". I rubbed my forehead. "This is gonna be a long night" I let out a hearty laugh. Savannah shook her head with a smile "Worst part is, it's only noon". I wonder if it helped. Soobin came down the stairs "Whatever you guys just did, it seemed to work" I felt a sense of hope "He's calmed down a bit". Everyone let out a sigh of relief "Now we just keep watch".
