Chapter 17: A weapon? No! a dragon? yes! (1)

Cale went back to his station soon after bidding their goodbyes-which took longer than he anticipated because of a certain redhead not wanting to let go of him.

His steps echoed through the dark tunnel, informing the occupants of the station that someone is nearby and coming towards them.

The atmosphere became tense as they gripped the new weapons their representative gifted them-which immediately disappeared as they saw the blood-like hair emerge from the shadows.

"Cale-nim is back!" Park Ji hoon exclaimed, immediately setting his claymore back down.

The previously tense atmosphere was replaced with a lively one right after seeing their dear 'Crimson king' come back safely.

The crowd bombarded the young teen with joyful smiles and greetings

'...Why are they acting as if I was gone for a few months?' He sweat drops, confusion visible in his face.

[Human! Where did you go? you suddenly disappeared!] A voice rang in his head, which he assumed was Biru talking to him.

'mm, I'll answer you later. Let me handle these people first.'

[Huff, well I suppose I can wait a little, make it quick!]

'Yes, yes' Cale suppressed a sigh and let out a bright smile instead, making the crowd around him squint their eyes as it might make them go blind from its brightness.

He jolted when he felt a presence from behind sneaking up to him, he tried to turn around to see who it was-but the person did a head lock before he could've.

"Our Crimson king is back!!" Min-ah shouted, her left arm wrapped around Cale's neck while the other was ruffling the boy's hair.

The redhead frowned after hearing the nickname given to him as he grumbled inaudible words.

"Welcome back, Cale hyung-nim!" Min-jun said as he ran and hugged his arm

"How was your visit to your hyungs?" Kim Nari asked

"Good, they were very... lively" -It's not like he can say that visiting them was troublesome, right?

"Then that's good, you must've been happy to see them alive and well." Kim Nari gently smiled at the young teen.

Well, not exactly- Cale already knew that they were alright after all. But he just smiled and nodded in response.

"Alright, everyone move along now! let our young master-nim rest, he must be tired from his visit to the other station." Nari clapped her hands to gain the crowd's attention.

The crowd finished saying their greetings and dispersed, letting Cale get a breather.
He let out a quiet "Thank you" to Kim Nari before plopping down his usual isolated corner-which was now, for some reason, decorated with blankets and pillows...?

He looked over where Min-ah and Min-jun were. As if noticing his gaze, the two locked eyes with him before giving a thumbs up and a playful smile.

Cale sighed as he settled in a more comfortable position-not that he hated the blankets and pillows, he just thought that they didn't need to give their items to him.

[Human, are you done?]

The teen nodded in response

Cale looked down beside him when he felt a presence nearby, to see the blankets crumple most likely because of the invisible dokkaebi who plopped down next to him
