"𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏? 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒔𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄. 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒂 𝒎𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒓."

— Richard Kuklinski

He sat there by the rooftop, gazing down at the city that was once his home. Once.

His fingers fiddling with the cloth as he polished his dagger. Sounds could be heard all around. Nostalgic sounds, yet traumatizing as well.

Sounds of sword against sword was heard. A shout had been raised as guards roamed around. Trying to find the wrath-filled assassin whom had killed the priests.

A smirk tugged gently on his lips. That assassin would be him.

He took off once he had noted how many guards were sent his way.

He jumped off the castle roof, moving swiftly into the shadows of the buildings.

He hid in a dark alley as guards rushed past. He listened in silence as he heard the general order them.

Those bastards truly thought they were going to be able to catch him.

He chuckled darkly. They would find themselves wrong. Of course it would lead them to their demise, before they realize the risk at hand, but what's the fun in warning them beforehand?
