Connor (these are headcanons) was born with blue fur on his more animalistic features and he was born with two fluffy tails, not to mention that the graph I drew at 2AM claims that they're also longer than his legs apparently.
Having been born with blue-furred characteristics and two tails is basically what steered him to the Sonic Fandom. The two tails referring to Miles "Tails" Prower and the blue fur referring to Sonic the Hedgehog. I guess, like Tails, he felt like a kinda freak or weirdo bc of his fur discoloration and an extra tail, so it felt nice that he had someone he could relate to, real or not.
