Luna's POV
I woke up as I heard some voices talking loudly and laughing outside the room which really bothered me. I wasn't used to this kind of environment, I mean I am always used to quiet places and I would always see Dad for a few minutes only, so it'll be me inside the house only.
Wait- I am freaking late. I hurriedly checked my phone and found some messages from Soyun, Jina, and Jihun, telling me to attend classes since we have things to do today which is important.
I hurriedly ran to the bathroom and took a bath and got ready for school. I tied my hair and wasn't even able to do a slight makeup. As I ran downstairs, they were talking and seems like they are having fun. What confuses me is that they are not wearing their uniforms.
"Aren't you guys going to school? We're late."
They all looked at my direction.
"Luna, you can't go to school. You can't show yourself to Cara because Felix told your Father that you will be in a vacation, right? What if she sees you and questions you why you are in school? When you are supposed to be on your vacation." Changbin explained
"Okay, that explains why. But why are you all here? Don't you think it will be suspicious if we are all not there? I mean they recently saw me going with you guys. It'll be an issue."
"The thing is we took an absent today to assign some of us with you while some were attending classes." Jeongin
"Why? For what?"
"You are not safe anywhere, Luna. It's better if some of us will be with you in order to protect you while some are gone." Jisung
"And we have to tell you something real important." Jeongin
"What is it?"
This is making me nervous and feeling scared if someone is trying to say that they have to tell me something important. Why can't they just spill it right away and tell me everything?
"The thing is... Uh. How do we start this?" Jeongin was hesitating and looked at others
"The man you saw in your dreams when you were having a hard time sleeping, he is red shadow. And it all started when you found out about us. You started dreaming about him because you are finally finding out about vampires. The first dream you had of him was when you passed out here, right? In the dream, he recognized you and he has the ability to haunt in dreams. Also... Your tattoo-" Seungmin stopped and signaled Felix to do it
"What about the tattoo?"
"The tattoo is connected to the necklace in our Kingdom which we are protecting. That necklace in our Kingdom belongs to the daughter of red shadow and it detects danger which explains why you were always hurting whenever red shadow is coming for the necklace. The purpose of the necklace is to hurt you and control you, which was planned by red shadow. He wanted the necklace but he always fail to get it because vampires of our Kingdom protects it. And if it reaches the maximum level of danger it will bring you to danger or you will be the danger." Felix explains
Huh?
"And why is the necklace connected to my tattoo? It belongs to the daughter-" That stopped me. How? What happened? The fuck is going on with me.
There is no way.
"You are the daughter of red shadow." Felix
"What?! I am who? That's impossible. Red shadow is a vampire and I am not. I would love to be a vampire but I don't want to be with that red shadow whatever his name is."
"You don't have to be a vampire. You are already one. Maybe something is blocking you from turning into one." Chan
"This is funny. I just woke up getting worried about missing my classes, and here I am finding out that I a vampire without me knowing." I sarcastically laughed and clapped my hands
"Luna." Hyunjin called
As I heard his voice, I remembered what he told me last night, that soon I will be one of them. So this is why he doesn't want to bite me nor drink my blood?
"It's up to you whether to believe us or not. But you can't leave this place without any of us. Vampires are hunting you down because your tattoo symbolizes that you will bring chaos." Chan
"How about we do it in order?" Minho suggested
"How?" Felix asked
"Chan and me, Changbin and Hyunjin, Jisung and Felix, then Jeongin and Seungmin." Minho answered
"I have to go tomorrow. It's Cara's birthday and I can't miss that special day for her."
"Jisung and I will go with Luna." Felix said
The door opened and the school nurse named Xavien entered, who turned out to be a vampire as well.
"You're awake." Xavien smiled at me
"The necklace-"
"Have it. Vampires won't be able to track you if you are wearing it. Don't worry." Xavien
I nodded.
"I called the school office and told them about you taking a rest for a week, as I faked some medical records for you." Xavien
"Thank you so much. I appreciate that. Just don't let Cara, my friends or even my Dad find out about it."
"No worries. I told them it's confidential and you don't want anyone to know." Xavien smiled at me again
I can't believe I am being surrounded by vampires.
