The digital organizer on the nearby table flashed the date in bolds as Manjari contemplated her look towards it. The day she had expected to be filled with joys and celebrations had now turned out to be the occasion of a shouting match for her family. The mere talk of this alliance had started to mend her relationship with her husband as he appreciated her for selecting the daughter-in-law of his liking who matched their profession and status. To top it all off, her son, Abhimanyu, has found a lifelong companion in the same, but it seemed God didn't have any plans for her family to even experience happiness for once.
"Maa ji hamare bete Abhimanyu ke liye rishton ki line lagi padi hai par woh apki Arohi ko pasand..."
"Nahi karta!" Harsh felt his speaking in the air as the invaded voice cut off his coherence betwixt and between.
Concluding Harshwardhan's phrase in the real sense, Arohi walked inside the Birla mansion, startling everyone to no extent. Firmly standing against the gathering, she suppressed the tearing which was about to fall off as she caught the sight of her dearly father-figure, Mr. Akhilesh Goenka. She had heard about their get-going to the Birla family and felt it was the right time to make everyone come to light about the confusion that had occurred from her misreading. She had sworn to be the best in everything she would do throughout her life. Whether in her relationships or academics, she aspires for perfection since doing otherwise would preclude any prospect for someone to repudiate her. Though Abhimanyu was the person who had gotten to her liking because of his skillful self and accomplishments in his career, but what would she do if he had lost his heart to her sister, not her? Akshara always gets what's supposed to be hers, but this time, reality smacks her harder than she had expected. Love was not the thing to be forced or snatched from anybody, whether in the case of family or the person you are fond of!
"Dr. Arohi, what are you talking about?" Harsh spilled the question as the skepticism grew the thousands of folds within the ambiance while the rest of the members anxiously waited for Arohi to explain her declaration.
"Abhimanyu ko lekar mujhe galat fehmi ho gayi thi. Meine uski usual politeness ko pyaar samaj liya. Mere vajah se yeh sari problem huyi hai. Uske liye I'm so sorry, everyone. I'm so sorry." Arohi verbalized in front of both families with a heavy heart that had been cracking inch by inch. Intense anguish was what anyone could see in her frame. She tried to fight over the lingering emotions mounting inside her, which soon evolved into overflowing tears. Goenkas' rushed to their granddaughter, who appeared to be grieving just like anyone else. Akhilesh quickly embraced her in a strong parental manner, which only ended up making her sob more.
Akshara's trance was broken just as soon as Abhimanyu tapped her shoulder after finishing his call from the hospital. His patient had required his urgent attention since he was sinking into the state, but thanks to Dr. Maahi and Dr. Rohan, who handled the case following his guidance, and the matter was quickly brought under control.
"Aru," Akshara murmured in a stupor as she saw Arohi's car parked frontwards Birla mansion. The vision she had a while ago had scared the hell out of her. She wants her love but not at the cost of hurting her family and her sister. What are the chances that their families will agree to her and Abhimanyu's alliance, as Birlas considered Arohi in the first place? Why would they accept her as their daughter-in-law? Neither she was a doctor nor bold enough to speak beyond the outright alien family. Ever since the death of Sirat, she had struggled to showcase herself beyond her own family though. The accidental death had not only caused the differences between her and her sister but maybe in her other relations too. She had always been silent for their sake, and honestly, she didn't have anyone in her immediate family with whom she felt like engaging in a conversation about her fears and anxieties. Then, what does she currently have that encourages her to seek happiness? What in her was giving her a brand-new surge of strength to voice herself and her love? What had unexpectedly given her the will to live for herself? What was it? She promptly questioned her consciousness, and all of her concerns seemed to disappear into thin air when Abhimanyu beamed her a charming smile, which she matched without reservation. ABHIMANYU! She has Abhimanyu! It sounded as though every cell in her being was yelling his name as her answer.
