Saki seemed to become less tense at my words and nodded, a small smile on her lips.
"You're right. Let's go help the others now." She said.
Saki then left the dining hall, me trailing behind her. Saki went over and started talking to Hina while I decided to go upstairs to the second floor. I headed towards the pool, deciding to check that area first. I walk in and see Makoto standing in front of the boys locker room door.
"Uhh, Makoto? What're you doing?" I ask.
He jumped a bit and turned towards me before signing in relief.
"The door's open. But they're usually supposed to be closed and locket." He told me.
"That's weird...it couldn't possibly be in there, could it?"
I was snapped out of my thoughts at the familiar chiming of the bell. Makoto and I turned our heads to look at the monitor on the wall and Monokuma appeared on the screen as soon as it switched on.
"For this investigation, I have unlocked the doors. Please look around to your heart's content!"
The monitor then shut off. But his words stuck in my mind. That's when my eyes widened.
"I-Investigation...?" Makoto and I said in unison.
"Just as I thought." A voice spoke.
Makoto and I jumped and turned around, surprised to see Byakuya standing there.
"Byakuya-!" Makoto exclaimed.
"Judging from what he just said, there can be no doubt a murder really has taken place." Byakuya said, a smirk on his lips that I wanted to wipe off his face.
"C-Come on...!" Makoto said, trying to protest.
"And the locker rooms... They're suspicious. Very suspicious, indeed. Wouldn't you agree?" He questioned.
"Huh? Suspicious?" I asked.
"It seems nobody's searched the locker rooms. Let's start with the girls locker room..."
He was muttering as if he was talking to himself. Then, without waiting for either of us to reply, he pressed his hand against the girls locker room door. The door swing open without a sound. As we stepped inside it was as if time seemed to freeze.
I saw Chihiro, dried blood on her forehead that had seemed to drip down her clothing into her legs. Her body was held up by a rope of some sort in between some gym equipment. The rope was tied around her neck and wrists. There were also words written on the wall behind Chihiro. 'BLOODLUST'.
"What...?" Makoto muttered.
I didn't know how long it took for me to comprehend what I was seeing but when I did I felt sick. I could practically feel my stomach churning and the bile creeping up my throat.
"Chihiro... No..." I muttered.
Suddenly Makoto let out a loud scream that caused me to stumble a bit and bump into Byakuya who pushed me away from him harshly. I was lucky enough to regain my footing and I turned to glare at him. He could've been nicer about it jeez.
"Most unusual, don't you think?" He asked, his voice calm.
The calmness in his voice made me uncomfortable. How could someone be so calm when a literal dead body was right in front of them. He never failed to piss me off.
"Look. Chihiro's corpse has been suspended somehow. And something's been written on the wall, in blood... "Bloodlust"? Such a brutal way to kill someone... No, this is beyond brutal. Wouldn't you agree?" He questioned.
