Her//Him

Her name?

Rapunzel sat next to him, reading a book about.. Well Varian doesn't really know, but she's reading, all he knows right now is that the princess brought him along with her so they can visit the kingdom of Ingvarr , so they can make a kingdom treaty and start some sort of trade for materials.. which is why she brought Varian instead of her Husband, since he knows about what they need as the royal engineer and or alchemist. At least that's what she told him.

Varian looked out the window to their carriage, and realized they were almost there. He could see the villages pouring into view, and saw the castle on the horizon.
"Varian, just look at it!" Rapunzel exclaimed, finally setting her book down and poking her head out her side of the cart. "It's lovely!" she smiled at bystanders , even though they were in the middle of fist fighting
Varian hummed in agreement, though he couldn't see the beauty in the kingdom, he thought maybe he was just too used to the bright and cheeriness of Corona.
"It looks okay.." He confirmed, sliding a bit in his seat.

Getting off the carriage, Rapunzel led Varian to the entrance of the castle, before he could push the door open she pulled him back and held his shoulder, looking at him seriously . "Before we enter Varian, I hear they have an unnamed princess.. or something.." She paused, glancing around before continuing. "If you see her, try making conversation... I heard she doesn't have many friends because of something wrong with her, and I feel like she isn't what they say she is." Rapunzel wrapped up her rant and brightly smiled at him before turning to the doors and pushing them open for the two of them, Varian took a moment to process what she told him, then immediately followed right after his princess.

Rapunzel continued to lead the way, and soon they were met with a small staircase leading up to a queen sitting lazily on her throne, people serving her plates of grapes that she thankfully took from them. "Princess Rapunzel." The queen announced loudly for everyone to hear.

Just as she spoke everyone turned their heads to look at the visitors before them.. Varian awkwardly stood next to Rapunzel, feeling like he sticks out like a sore thumb. "M'Lady" she greeted, bowing her head, softly shoving Varian in the arm, quickly he shook his head and bowed as well.

"You are here for the agreement?" she asked, sitting up in her seat, waving a servant over to take her plates. "Yes, your majesty.. my parents and I wanna join our kingdoms to help train and grow our team of guards.."
Varian could hear her nervousness, he knew she wasn't anxious about the queen or the agreement, he could tell she didn't want to seem demeaning to her husband who wasn't even here, he knew Eugene was a great royal guard, but the others were.. uhm.. they were something else.

"And also help you understand your daughter...better.." she said, hoping she didn't push the wrong button.
"Understand my daughter.. princess, do you think I can not raise my own child." she said, sitting up in her chair, looking at the two in front of her with rage on her face.

"No! Not at all my queen! I just heard that she is not like any other princess.. heh.." she chuckled, recalling the sun drop and moon stone situation. "I simply wanna meet her and see if we.. " She again nudged Varian, "can talk to her and see what we can do to help..!"
Varian nodded simply, looking at the queen.

"And how would your royal engineer help with my daughter.."

Rapunzel stiffened, and cleared her throat. "I also heard she likes things of science..! And it just so happens that Varian is not only our engineer but our royal alchemist!" She pushed her 'brother' ahead of her.. Varian quickly realized he was now in the spotlight and awkwardly waved his hand, but the queen looked at him expectantly.

"Right.. uhm.. hi.." he spoke, fumbling over his words not knowing what to say, "It's lovely to meet you.."
