Mitsuba's POV It's 3:00 Am on a Monday. What a amazing time to be up. "What a beautiful day to be alive" I said in a sarcastic tone. I got up knowing I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep and went on my phone, not knowing what else to do. "Huh...Kou texted me? At 3 in the morning? That's...odd." I said out loud because I have no other friends and talk to the air way to much.
Kou - "Hey Mitsuba! Sorry for texting you so randomly (lol) but I just can't fall asleep and I'm soooo bored." Read at 3:05 AM"
Mitsuba "Ur so weird 😒 You could have just like taken melatonin or something"
"Yeah I know but I was kinda wondering if you wanted to go somewhere-"
"Seriously? At 3:00 AM?"
"Yeah, not like anyone would see you anyway"
"Fine... Where are we going? "
"Umm...I don't really know- Ig we should get some Starbux sense it's 3 in the morning"
"Sounds good to me ig"
What the fu- whatever I came out of the old school building I've been staying in and started walking around in confusion, I mean who the hell gets up to get coffee at 3 in the morning? I guess uh...office workers? Whatever.
Anyway I have no idea where lame ass earring is right now so I'm just gonna go to the place I always go to when I'm bored. The forest behind the old school building.
As I start walking to the forest I see a weird figure running over here
"HOLY MACARONI CHEESE BURGERS ON A STICK!!" I shouted in fear.
As the shadow got closer, I started running deeper into the forest to avoid it, only to find that the shadow was...
"KOU!? "
"Mitsuba! Why where you running away from me!?"
"Holy crap this is kinda embaressi-"
My mouth flew open as me and Kou started at this beautiful place in shock.
"How far did you run dude?"
"I don't know, but this place is literally gorgeous."
Me and Kou went to walk around this beautiful forest area. There where beautiful ponds where the moon light reflected perfectly off the water, fireflies, and the sound of a few owls and other nocturnal animals.
"AH-" I yelled as I tripped over a twig. Yes, a twig. "Mitsuba are you o- I- seriously?" Kou said as he helped me get up.
"Mitsuba...you're litterly the dumbest person I know sometimes..."
"Well it's dark out here!"
"Then how about you hold my hand"
Wait? Did he really just ask me that? I guess I wouldn't mind but...
"I don't hold hands with people that wear such lame earrings."
"Hey!"
"I'm kidding!"
I grabbed his hand, but only so I don't fall again.
Kou's POV Mitsuba's hands are colder than Antartica I guess it has to do with him being a ghost but, it's nearly 4 in the morning and it's 55°F out. I'm freezing, but in all honesty I don't wanna let go of his hand.
"So um what are we gonna do now? I don't know how we'd get out of here" I asked Mitsuba with a slightly worried face.
"Honestly I have no idea. I guess I can take a few photos here for now"
"What about you finally take another photo of me?"
"I'll think on it" Mitsuba smiled
I don't know why, but I have this weird feeling in my chest. A sharp pain as if a dagger was being stabbed through my chest. Is it just because I'm with Mitsuba? That doesn't make sense...I've been friends with him sense forever and I've never felt this way before...what's happening?
