COLLEGE LIFE

As usual, I was late to college

My alarm clock, not to be blamed.

There seemed no sense of urgency

For a lecture, not to be named.

It happened to be a Saturday, still no holiday

Like many others present, I wanted to run away.

Messaging in class, far more interesting

This was just the start of another day.

A lecture passed by, I looked at the time

Songs still playing on my mind.

The lectures did'nt seem to end

I wish some professors were a little kind.

Blessed I was to have a great class

Friends so sweet, all I wished for.

Silly jokes, antics and full time gossip

Made my day, I did'nt want more.

As the clock struck 12, it was time for lunch

A much needed break from all the humdrum.

Time to jostle and fool around

Fun and frolic with my favourite chum.

There were many such days, they seemed so few

My heart filled with joy, seemed content.

I hoped to prolong this joyous time

Of a serene life filled with no repent.

The lunch break ended, there were plans to make.

Which lecture to bunk, hard to say.

"Lets all go out",was the common outburst

Of friends, who in college, did'nt want to stay.

Plans approved,excitement plenty

These times will always be special.

Locked in a box of life's treasures

Aint artificial, just real.
