Gayoon was working carefully with a flushed face in the first minutes, but when Ryujin came to drop the list of freshmen students who're still not able to pass their updated student information, Gayoon's mood immediately dropped after seeing the number.

Donghyuck is watching all of it happen.

He doesn't know why, but even though he can feel her stress, he's not fully affected by it. Maybe because they're together and he's the more stable one right now, he's expected to be calm? He's not sure.

The only thing he knows is that the clock ticked at 6 p.m. and the girl is still writing reports.

"Gayoon"

"Not now"

"Shin Gayoon"

"What–"

She was cut off by a hand on the paper she's writing on.

"Let's go"

"But–"

"What did I say earlier?"

There it is again—the gazes, the tone.

Gayoon can't believe that this male can make her fold with just a flick of a finger. She usually holds the last words!

Gayoon is still seated, looking up at him, and her lips are lightly gaping. It doesn't seem that she can voice out the words she wanted to.

Donghyuck stared at her for awhile, then the bunch of papers that messily occupied the desk.

He gathered all of it and neatly placed it on the side, with the current paper she was filling in on top. After that, he pressed it on with a stapler and a couple of heavy things so it wouldn't fly away.

"Get up now."

"Why are you suddenly like this?"

Donghyuck quizzically looked at her after fixing the chair he'd been sitting on.

"You could be in the bar right now, flirting with everyone."

"I want to see you."

"What?" she was flustered.

"What? Because of this soulmate bond, what more?"

"Why, what's happening?"

"Vida, you don't know?" Donghyuck leaned over the desk, his face inching closer to her. "The bond is strengthening. The need to see you has increased."

Gayoon's eyes widened.

He smirked. "What? Didn't expect it to happen? We've been seeing each other occasionally now. What would the effect be?"

"But we're not doing anything," she mumbled.

"Hmm? Doing what?" he pushed further, a playful look on his face.
