Steve walked into school, greeted by the several girls trying to touch and talk to him. He just pushed past them and walked onward to his locker. "Steve!" He heard robin say from behind him. He stopped and waited for her to catch up. "Dude, Vicky just asked ME on a date!!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Woah that's great Rob!" Steve said,with a soft smile. Robin is always talking about her huge crush on Vicky. Robin started to ramble about how excited she was. "Oh my god what if I dress horribly, or if I mess up my makeup or if my hair is a mess!" Robin started. "Rob calm down," Steve said, taking a firm grip on her shoulders,"you are going to be fine alright, come over later and I can help you get ready" he said with a reassuring smile. Robin took in a deep breath. "Okay I will, we're going to the movies at 8 so come pick me up at 6" She said. "Okay, will do" Steve said, walking over to his locker.

Robin followed behind him as he opened it. Robin kept her stuff in his locker so she wouldn't forget it. She grabbed her stuff then Steve grabbed his. Suddenly there was a bunch of loud commotion in the hallway. He shut the locker and followed robin who was already standing towards the middle of the hallway to see what was going on. "Get off me man! I didn't do nothing!" Steve heard a dude yell, followed by a grunt of pain. Steve saw jason and a few of the other guys from the basketball team beating the shit out of some dude. He recognized the guy, Eddie munson, "the freak" as everyone called him. For some reason he had the urge to help the poor dude. He usually didn't get involved in fights that didn't include him or his friends but he felt different about this.

He handed his things to robin then walked away before she could say anything. "Hey! Leave him alone!" Steve yelled, yanking jason off by the back of that stupid versity jacket all the basketball players get. "Steve what the fuck! Don't you know who he is?!" Jason yelled. "Yeah I know who he is that doesn't change what I said, back off you prick" Steve said, pushing jason away. Jason looked pissed but just walked away, the group following him. He looked down at eddie, his nose was bleeding from both nostrils and he was laying sprawled out on the floor. "You okay man?" Steve asked, reaching a hand down which Eddie gladly excepted. "Y-yeah-" The slightly smaller boy mumbled, leaning more into the brunette due to his loss of balance. "You sure? You look pretty fucked up" Steve said. Steve looked around at the crowd staring in utter shock,including robin.

Her mouth was open slightly,a shocked expression on her face. "Here I'll walk you to the nurse" Steve said. "N-no it's fine, I do not wanna go down there" Eddie said. "Why not, you're bleeding from both of your nostrils and you can't even stand" Steve said, pulling one of Eddie's arms over his shoulder and wrapping an arm around eddie, resting his hand on eddie's side,just above his waist. Steve noticed that Eddie was pretty out of it, he looked dazed almost. "Hey Rob,go ahead to class I'ma try to fix this dude up!" Steve yelled to robin as he walked away with Eddie. She stared at him confused but said nothing. Steve walked into the guys bathroom and found jason and his goons, as soon as they saw Steve, they quickly made their way out, not wanting to piss him off more than he already seemed to be.

Steve set Eddie on one sink while turning on the another. He grabbed a paper towel and wet it down a little then wiped under eddie's nose. Eddie just stared at him silently,watching Steve's every move. Steve had heard all about Eddie through the rumors that spread through the school. He heard he was a queer, metalhead who was also pretty nerdy. He was also the main target for the basketball team, Steve not included though. Steve didn't care who other people were, if they weren't his friends he didn't get involved,he had talked a little with Eddie, only a few 'hello's and 'see you around' when he would pick the kids up from DnD but he didn't know him on a friendship level. But then why did he step in? Why was he here, helping the "freak"? Surely some rumors would spread around after this but Steve didn't care, he was just being a good person and that was it.
