"Yeah I was one" Pietro rolled his eyes
"Are you implying that I still have a thing for Jamie ?" Steve looked offended
"No. I'm not implying" Dustin frowned "I'm stating. And, as it relates to your steadfast refusal to date Robin, it's pretty much the only logical explanation"
"That's not the only one. And as for Jamie, I was just trying to protect a friend" Steve tried to shake it off he saw Dustin wasn't buying it "a friend Henderson. Okay ?"
"Okay"
"I don't wanna find her with her eyes sucked out of her skull by this vecna creep" Steve then pointed at Pietro "you would do the same thing... I mean come on man she's your twin sister"
Dustin chuckled "you're bright red in the face right now" Pietro started cackling at Steve
"I'm not. I don't wanna talk about it. I'll punch you so hard your teeth will fall back out" Steve threatened
"Woah" Pietro looked shocked
"Too far" Dustin said quietly
"Not cool. Sorry"
"It's okay" Dustin forgave him quickly. The car then became silent as they nudged there fists.
They looked through files of old news letters, Nancy and Jamie were looking together "anything juicy over there ?" Robin asked from the other side
Nancy sighed "nothing new"
"Yep same here" Robin sounded bored "Victor seemed like a normal guy. Dead family, missing eyes, took a plea deal, sent to Pennhurst. Blah blah blah"
"What are we looking for exactly" Robin moved out of her chair and knocked on the board of the machine.
Nancy and Jamie turned their heads. Robin carried on "any mention of dark wizards or alternate dimensions ? Things in that vein"
"I don't know" Jamie said In a stern voice "okay ? It's starting to seem like this was just a big waste of time" she stood up
Nancy followed "and you are obviously bored so why don't you call Steve" Nancy clearly didn't get her situation
Jamie went into another room with Nancy. Robin came running down "you do know that Steve and I are platonic like with a capital P"
Jamie laughed "thanks for the info Robin"
Robin checked another draw "wow the weekly watcher. I can't believe they have this"
Nancy scoffed "don't they write about, like, Bigfoot and UFOs ?"
"First, UFOs are absolutely real. Bigfoot I'm still on the fence about" Robin tilted her head "but may I remind you we are looking for information on dark wizards" she pointed at Jamie "and she can shoot red stuff out of her hands" Jamie agreed
"If someone would write about that it would be them" Jamie came to the realisation.
They put the thing into the machine and started looking through. There was very weird headlines 'Elvis cloned by aliens'
"You never know" Robin shrugged.
Mia and Amy finally came into the room in defeat. They sat down on the floor.
"Victor Creep claims vengeful demon killed family." Robin said in a evil voice "the murder that shocked a small community"
"Ha ha funny" Jamie mocked
"I'm not kidding" Robin said. Jamie and Nancy turned to look
"According to seven insiders Victor believed his house was haunted by an ancient demon." Robin read "Victor all allegedly hired a priest to exorcise the demon from his home." She looked at Jamie "pretty novel for the 50s exorcist wasn't out yet."
"Keep going" Jamie insisted
"Victor claimed this exorcism failed, but it angered this demon, which then murdered his family, removing their eyes. Victor believed he was spared as a punishment" Robin carried on
"That's pretty convenient for Victor." Nancy said in disbelief
"Yeah, or super inconvenient" Robin added on "Victor was declared legally insane by the court, right ? What if this is why ? I mean it sounds insane. Just didn't go public because..."
"The plea bargain. The records were sealed." Jamie looked at all of the girls "we need to speak to this Victor Creel guy".
They ran out of the library it was dark "Dustin do you copy" Robin said into the walkie talkie
"Yeah, I copy" he replied
"So Jamie's a genius" Robin said excitedly "Vecna's first victims date back all the way to 1959" they walked quickly
"Okay, that's totally bonkers" Dustin said short of breath "but i can't really talk right now."
"What are you doing" Jamie asked
"Breaking and entering school" he sounded so calm saying this "to retrieve confidential and extremely personal files."
The walkie talkie was static "can you repeat that ?"
"Just get your ass over here, stat"
Amy sighed and shook her head "men" she got into the car.
